Magnavox Customer Service Issues

Yesterday I was charged $76 instead of the initial $1 start-up fee and $26 for tech support regarding a No Signal issue on my screen. Despite Just Answer Tech stating the problem was resolved, the issue persisted where the CC was on and the remote wasn't working to turn it off. When searching on Google, the Just Answer screen reappeared, prompting me to fill out the credit card form again. I refrained from doing so. I received a message from Tarun Diwakar to contact customer service, but they were closed.

The receiver for remote control signals on my TV, the Magnavox 32" Class 720p 60Hz LED HDTV (32ME303V), is faulty. It doesn't consistently respond when numbers are entered, but works fine when using the channel selector button. I confirmed the remote is functional by using it with another Magnavox TV without any issues. I even replaced the batteries but the problem persists. It seems like the issue lies specifically with the receiver in my television.

I have owned my Magnavox TV since brand new in [redacted]. I purchased a Magnavox Analog Converter box, but when I contacted the help line, they informed me that they are not compatible due to an issue on your end. They advised me to buy a new television and left it up to me to decide what to do with my beloved TV, which has been by my side for so long. This situation is not acceptable. My TV is like an old friend, and we have shared many memories. If you market a converter box with your brand, it should work seamlessly with your product. At 80 years old, I remember when Magnavox stood by its products. I am disappointed in this change.
