On 8/9/19 around 9:10 a.m., I contacted the Franklin office of the Anorectal Disorder Department to schedule an appointment. When the receptionist answered, I provided my name and explained that I had a referral from my primary care provider regarding rectal fissures. I mentioned that my doctor couldn't perform an internal anal exam due to the pain and suggested they might consider putting me to sleep for it. Unfortunately, the receptionist responded rudely, stating they wouldn't sedate me for that procedure. I reiterated that it was merely what my doctor had suggested, but it seemed as though she didn't want to listen. After securing my appointment time, I wished her a good day. Later, around 10:30 a.m., when I called back to confirm the time, she accused me of hanging up on her, which wasn't true. I discussed this with my wife, who was present and confirmed that I had politely ended the call. It may be beneficial for this employee to undergo further customer service training. Thank you. - R.
