I am having trouble activating my prepaid card online. I have my 16-digit card number, the CCV, my verified address of residence (living here for 23 years), and my confirmed social security number (born in the country 52 years ago). Despite meeting all the requirements, I repeatedly receive a message from Green Dot Bank stating technical difficulties when trying to activate the card online. After depositing $[redacted] on 09/06/19, I am being denied access to my prepaid debit card funds, which I find to be violating US Banking Regulations. The automated system has hung up on me five times. Green Dot Bank's phone system advises me to activate online, but the system is preventing card registration. I feel I am a victim of theft if the card is not activated promptly, and I will involve Federal Authorities if not resolved within 48 hours. Please assist in activating my purchased card. - Jane D'A.

I am having trouble activating a prepaid card online. I have the 16-digit card number, the CCV, verified address of residence, and a valid social security number. Every time I try online, I receive a message saying Green Dot Bank is experiencing technical issues. I applied for a prepaid debit card on 09/06/19, paid $[redacted], and now cannot access the funds as required by banking regulations. I have tried calling five times but the automated system hangs up on me, stating online activation is the only option, which I am unable to do. I consider this a theft issue by Green Dot Bank and will involve Federal Authorities if my card is not activated within 48 hours. Can someone please help me activate this card promptly? Thank you. -JD

Hello, my name is Dylan. Several years ago, around four or five years, I fell victim to an online scam that required me to deposit $[redacted] onto a GreenDot card from Walmart. Regrettably, I fell for it and only realized it was a scam later on. Recently, I received a letter from the Green Dot Corporation stating it's an unclaimed property due diligence notification for a refund check related to the $[redacted] I had deposited. The letter requests me to fill out a form and mail it back to an address in Pasadena, California. Given my past experience, I'm feeling quite nervous about this and uncertain if it's a legitimate refund attempt by Green Dot. I need clarity on this before winter sets in, as I'll require heating fuel. Please contact me via email at your earliest convenience to assist me in resolving this matter.

I am having an issue with registering my second prepaid Visa card that I purchased at Walmart. After managing to register the first card without any problems, the second card is posing registration difficulties. The system keeps directing me back and forth between online registration and customer service, making it impossible to complete the process. Additionally, I am questioning why I even have two cards as they each come with a $9.95 service fee. Frustrated with the service, I am now considering canceling one of the cards and receiving a refund. I have been unable to reach customer service for assistance, and I am feeling quite upset about the whole situation.

Hello, I am having an issue with a $[redacted] MoneyPak my mother bought for me on September 25. I tried to load it for my bills, but was asked to upload my identification. After doing so, I waited a few days and saw no progress. I requested a refund on the website and it said successful, with a 1-2 week wait. Today, I received a letter demanding my identification and a receipt, which my older mother likely doesn't have. When I tried to reload the MoneyPak on my card, it said it had already been used, which wasn't the case as I had requested a refund. I had a similar issue in April with $[redacted] but let it go. However, I can't accept a $[redacted] loss. I'm confused and worried about the status of my money, especially since I rely on Green Dot for its trustworthiness. This situation has put me behind on bills and I feel cheated.

I recently applied for a Green Dot card through FreeTax USA and received it in the mail. I waited until after my tax return was deposited to activate it. Though I can hear my balance after entering the required information, I have been unable to receive the unlock code through text. I have made multiple attempts to activate the card via phone, website, and app but have not been able to proceed to create an online user or PIN. I have contacted representatives three times and walked through the steps with them to receive the 6-digit code, but to no avail. I am currently waiting for the tech team to contact me again as I still haven't received the text with the code.

I have a MoneyPak prepaid card reload with $40. It's not a debit card but a card designed for easy reloading of prepaid cards. The back of the card has a 14-digit pin. I've been attempting to create an account on moneypak.com to use it, but each time I try, an error message pops up saying, "We’re sorry for the inconvenience but we’re unable to process your request at this time. Please try again." How do I contact a customer service representative for assistance with redeeming my card?

A friend transferred $[redacted] to my Green Dot Unlimited card from his business account on 10/4/[redacted]. Today is 10/8/[redacted], and the money hasn't shown up yet. I borrowed this money and need to repay it. My friend's bank shows the transfer, but I haven't received the funds. Can person-to-person wireless transfers be received on my card? I'm concerned about not receiving the $[redacted]. What if the money was sent to the wrong account with my name on it? Would that account accept it?

I have an Insight Card with the card number ending in [redacted]. I was arrested on July 18, [redacted], and released on September 18, [redacted]. My SSI deposit of $[redacted] was used while I was incarcerated. After sending documentation of my situation, the dispute was denied. I only received a statement detailing where the card was used after the denial, and none of those transactions were made by me. To secure provisional credit, I replaced the Insight Card, but unfortunately, the request was denied. I am seeking a refund of my SSI check and was under the impression that the card is FDIC insured. I have reached out to various agencies for assistance. Any help would be appreciated. - Margaret B.

I am planning to contact the police regarding MoneyPak. I bought two cards to load onto my PP debit card. When I tried to deposit funds online, I was asked to create a secure login. However, I received a message that my information already exists, even though I never made a login before. Clicking "Trouble with login" results in an error message about not receiving a password reset link. Despite repeated attempts, the same error message keeps appearing. All my money is on these cards, and I can't access it. It took me two hours to join this chat. I can't seem to reach a real person, and I am extremely frustrated and angry, believing MoneyPak is scamming me. This issue needs urgent resolution as my funds are crucial for reaching Georgia to see my ill parents. I demand a quick fix or I will contact BBB, the police, and any necessary authorities to resolve this matter.

I bought a Green Dot reloadable Visa debit card for my brother to cover his mobile phone bill. I paid $81.50 for the card at Price Chopper on 55 Rail Road Place in Saratoga Springs, NY [redacted]. I have the purchase and activation receipts. Despite trying for over three hours, we cannot access the funds. My brother's phone bill is due tomorrow, and he depends on it to communicate with his doctors due to illness. I used my last funds for this card, and it's crucial he can pay his bill. Please respond quickly, or I will escalate this with the BBB and seek legal action. I am determined to retrieve the funds. Thank you. - Lisa A. G.

I purchased a card approximately a month ago, loaded it with $20, and attempted to activate it. However, each time during the process, an error message appears right when the confirmation numbers are supposed to show up. This issue has persisted for a month without resolution. I would like a refund of the $20 I used to purchase the card. In order to rectify the situation, I suggest providing some form of gift card since it is unfair to lose money on a product intended for bill payments. Green Dot issued a personalized card with my name on it. Kindly either transfer the lost amount back onto my card or reach out to me. You can contact me via email at [redacted] or by phone at [redacted]. Thank you.

I initiated two transfers on the 8th from my Money Network card. The first transfer was to my Green Dot card for $60, and the second was to my husband's Green Dot card for $[redacted]. My husband received his $[redacted] on the 10th, but almost 6 days later, I have yet to receive my money. Despite contacting customer service multiple times, no one has provided assistance in tracking down my funds. I was advised to request a tracking number from Money Network and provide it to Green Dot, but the representatives have been uncooperative. Whenever I ask to speak with a supervisor, they end the chat or pretend they can't hear me. This frustrating situation has gone unresolved for too long, and I urgently need someone to address this issue promptly.

I've had my GreenDot card for about 2 to 3 months without any issues. But yesterday, I tried to load money onto it at three different places and was unable to. When I checked online, I realized there might be a problem with my account. This is causing inconvenience as I use the card for hotel bookings and bills payments. I have pending transactions that I'm unsure about. I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn on Clark Road in Sarasota, Florida, and I need to be reimbursed. I urgently need my card back and some clarity on the situation. Despite trying to contact customer service, I couldn't reach a representative. Please reach out to me at [redacted] to assist me promptly. It's crucial that I have my card back as I also have $35 on it that I can't access.

Hello, I'm Kara Secher. I made a mistake transferring money from my bank account to an old GreenDot card. I no longer have access to the card, and when I contacted customer service, they couldn't help me because I don't have the account details. My Social Security number and birthday weren't sufficient. I need assistance resolving this issue to retrieve the funds back into my bank account. Can you contact me via phone or email to help me rectify this situation? Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I added $[redacted] to a MoneyPak to load my Chime card, only to find out it couldn't be used with Chime. I then ordered a Green Dot card and was unable to use it as well. After requesting a refund, I got a confirmation email on September 19th, informing me the refund was processed on the 13th and would arrive within 2 weeks. However, it's now October 15th, and I still haven't received the refund. I keep encountering the same unhelpful person on the help line, and my patience is running thin. I just want my money back!

Today, I added $[redacted] to my Green Dot debit card, which had a $4.95 loading fee. I knew there was a $9.95 monthly fee, so I expected to have $[redacted] left for a phone bill. To my surprise, after my purchase, I checked my online banking and saw a charge of $18.56. Perplexed, I called customer service but my issue wasn't resolved. After multiple calls, I was unable to speak to a supervisor. I reiterated my need for a $9.95 refund to both the male and female representatives. I patiently waited to speak with a supervisor, but the call abruptly ended. It's unprofessional to hang up on a client, and I find this behavior unacceptable, especially when just trying to provide for my kids.

I recently reported losing my card to Green Dot and requested they cancel the card ending in [redacted]. Unfortunately, instead of just canceling the card, they closed my entire account. During subsequent calls, I was informed that a refund check is on the way, but it will take over two weeks to arrive. They assured me I could inquire about the refund's status over the phone and mentioned no need for additional paperwork. Eight days later, when I called to check on the refund, I was told no progress had been made, and my funds remain inaccessible in the closed account. This delay has caused my rent to be significantly overdue, accruing late fees and putting a strain on my finances. I am hopeful that Green Dot can assist in transferring the funds to my active account or provide a credit for the held amount to alleviate this situation.

I recently purchased a Green Dot Credit card to buy a new cell phone. The activation process has been a hassle. I am used to a simple activation by calling a number and providing the credit card number. However, now I am required to provide more personal information like my sister's mobile number, SSN, and birthday just to activate the card. This level of detail seems unnecessary and frustrating. Also, I discovered that my primary credit card is not accepted because it is categorized as commercial. This has prevented me from using the credit card to get my replacement phone. I am extremely frustrated with the complexity of this process and I urgently need assistance to resolve these issues.

I purchased a $50 Visa card at a Walmart in Chesterfield, Missouri. When I tried to use it for the first time after registering it, the Walmart clerk was unable to process my payment despite multiple attempts. I am frustrated as I am unable to get assistance from Green Dot or Walmart to resolve this issue. I am seeking a full refund of $51. I have all the necessary documentation, including my original receipt, packaging, and the unsuccessful payment slips. I demand a refund as I feel like I wasted $50 on this card. I will provide any proof of purchase required. I am extremely disappointed and will not be buying this type of card again. Thank you. Kathleen D.
