I recently purchased a VAVA VA-UC010 hub for my new M1 chip 13" Macbook Pro but I am encountering issues with the hub. The USB C Adapter works for some devices but not for others, and the male plug doesn't sit securely in the Mac's USB C port. The short connecting cable also makes it difficult to use. I am looking for a hub that securely fits in the USB C port, supports my backup drive and CD/DVD drive, can be connected to a wall plug, and is user-friendly. I rarely use Ethernet connections or TV monitors but may use the SD card slots in the future. Can anyone recommend a well-designed hub that will fulfill my requirements and stay connected to my Mac? I am experiencing an issue with my Canon Pixma TR8520 printer. The problem started when I tried to print a PDF file, which caused the printer to go into error mode. I attempted troubleshooting steps like deleting print queue files, restarting the computer and the printer, and performing a complete power cycle to no avail. I suspect the printer driver may be corrupted and needs to be reinstalled. Can this be fixed through remote access, or should I consider scheduling an in-home service appointment with Geek Squad?

I'm interested in signing up for Geek Squad All Access to receive assistance with my 3 Nest Cameras. I've been troubleshooting with Nest over the phone for over a month with no success. Originally, it was just one camera with issues, but after numerous troubleshooting attempts, now none of the cameras are working. We tried various methods like disconnecting devices from power and the internet, deleting and reinstalling the app, performing hard factory resets, and creating a new account. Nest even sent me a replacement camera, which briefly worked during troubleshooting. Currently, one camera is associated with another account, another is displaying the wrong security code, and the third camera is not connecting at all. Despite my HVAC working fine, I can't get the cameras operational. I need to set up Total Geek Squad Access for onsite assistance to resolve this issue. - Sherri

Computer 1 doesn't have a mic or camera and I need them installed at the Dickson City store by the Geek Squad. For Computer 2, the AOL settings are outdated, and I would like to know if these can be updated or if a Microsoft calendar can be added for scheduling Zoom meetings. I can drop off both computers for the necessary work. I am frustrated with the long hold times and inability to speak with a representative on the phone. On January 26, [redacted], at 9:30 a.m., I contacted the Geek Squad phone number, and my call was redirected to the Billing Department. A male named Irvin (Ervin) answered and after I explained a suspicious email billing me $[redacted].94 for WebRoot Security allegedly from Geek Squad, he dismissed it as a WebRoot issue. Despite my attempts to clarify, he was unhelpful and asked, "What do you want me to do?" I requested a supervisor after feeling dissatisfied. Unfortunately, after waiting for over an hour on hold, the call disconnected. I believe ignoring potential email fraud poses a risk, especially for vulnerable seniors. I'd like the fraud department to investigate this matter. I aim to lodge a complaint against Irvin for his rude and inconsiderate behavior towards customers. Regardless of membership status, all customers deserve respect. I urge for prompt action to prevent others from falling victim to such scams. As a retired criminal investigator, I know the dangers of such fraudulent activities. Thank you.

I recently got a text notifying me of an automatic renewal for a support subscription for $[redacted], instructing me to call [redacted]9 to cancel. When I attempted to contact them, the call disconnected immediately. Knowing I don't have a Geek Squad subscription, I was certain it was a scam and wanted to confront them about it. Despite this, I texted "stop" to unsubscribe and blocked them. I also reported the incident to the FCC in hopes that they can locate and stop these scammers.

I recently received an email that I believed was from Amazon, confirming an order I didn't make. I replied to the email and also called the number provided. The person I spoke to, Lucas, mentioned that my account was also used to purchase an iPhone 12 and a Dell computer. In a turn of events, he requested my IP address to verify the unauthorized purchases. I followed his instructions, allowing him remote access to my computer for about five minutes until my daughter alerted me that it might be a scam. We shut down the computer, which is connected to another tablet. We've changed all passwords on a different computer (a Mac) and contacted our financial institutions. Although our computers are compromised, we are looking for guidance on how to safeguard them moving forward.

It is now 3:52pm and after multiple attempts to contact the company, I was informed that my appointment was canceled without notice. I am frustrated by the lack of professionalism and disregard for my time. As a customer with a 5-year contract, I expect better service from Best Buy. I have been working on a manuscript in Word for a year, saving it regularly. Recently, after deleting some temporary files due to my slow computer, I realized the last ten pages of my manuscript were missing. Geek Squad Subscription: I recently got an email about my subscription being renewed, which surprised me as I never signed up for Geek Squad. The order confirmation number in the email is 16589GS-[redacted]. I need this subscription cancelled. I've called their customer service at [redacted] twice for 40 minutes each time. The last representative asked me to log into my bank account to process the cancellation, claiming I wasn't logged in, but I was. This seems like a scam. I declined and mentioned contacting the Better Business Bureau. Please cancel the renewal as I have no interest in Geek Squad services now or in the future.

I purchased a new Insignia Table Top 20" TV from Best Buy in Robinson Township, PA, less than a year ago for my kitchen. However, I've been disappointed by the sound quality and added a ZVOX soundbar to enhance it. Unfortunately, the sound is now echoing like an echo chamber. I understand that I need to disable the TV sound for the ZVOX to work properly. I would like to schedule a home visit for technical support to help with this. I did not authorize this repair. Initially, I was quoted $[redacted] for a battery replacement at the Owasso, OK store, but today they are asking for $[redacted]. This seems suspicious and I suspect it might be a scam. I want my laptop back promptly and intend to seek a second opinion from Apple.
