Delta Airlines Customer Service Issues

My husband missed our flight from New York to Cancun on Sunday, 11/12. That morning, I knew he wouldn't make it but arranged for him to fly with a different airline later. Before my departure, I spoke to a gate agent to ensure my husband's return flight wasn't canceled. The agent informed me that he canceled the initial flight, creating a $[redacted] Delta credit, and confirmed the return flight wouldn't be impacted. However, upon checking the reservation for our Saturday return flight with my children, I discovered only my kids and I were listed, not my husband. I'm worried that despite the reassurance from the gate agent regarding the cancellation of the first leg, my husband may encounter issues with his return flight due to missing the flight on Sunday.

Hello, my flight AF [redacted] on 04/21/[redacted] has been cancelled and rescheduled to flight AF [redacted] on the same day operated by Delta. I paid for our 2 seats and an additional checked bag. I would like to know if the rescheduling is automatic or if I need to make a new request with Delta for these services? I already tried to select seats, but I'm not sure if it went through.
