I spent months looking for a car on Craigslist, specifically avoiding listings that seemed like they were from a dealership. When I finally found one that seemed perfect, it turned out to be at a car lot and had numerous undisclosed issues. The dealers promised to cover the repairs and provide service records, but their commitments turned out to be false. The car was not as advertised, missing features and having more problems than mentioned. The cost to fix the issues is $[redacted], which I cannot afford. I would like to obtain a copy of the original incorrect ads to support my case. I’m disappointed and frustrated by this experience, as the misinformation cost me a lot of money, and the car is not worth its price. This situation is especially difficult for me as a caregiver to my elderly husband. Thank you for any assistance. Laurie and Ron from San Francisco.

I am seeking temporary foster care for my late mother's Yorkies until July next year. Unfortunately, my ads keep getting flagged and I am receiving inappropriate responses and scams. It is challenging to use the service when facing constant harassment. Despite receiving genuine inquiries from potential foster parents, my posts are regularly flagged. I assure you I am not engaging in any fraudulent activities; I simply want to ensure these dogs find caring homes for the time being.

I refuse to pay for Craigslist not posting my ad. This is my issue, but you are to blame. Please rectify the situation! On October 29, for the fourth time, I posted an ad in Kalispell, MT, under Arts & Crafts for sale. Although I received a confirmation, I am unable to respond via email as it is a No Reply address. I am tired of repeating this.
Craigslist used to be a fantastic, no-cost platform for posting ads. It has now evolved into a complex system that seems to cater more towards automated responses and eventually, charges. Please address this promptly. I am unable to recreate the ad as all the content, including the photos, is lost.

I recently posted my latest ad with the number [redacted]. After using the blog, I received feedback mentioning various issues such as misspelled words, lengthy descriptions, and high pricing. One commenter raised a concern that someone might be shutting down my posts. This is the fifth attempt, and each time I face the same problem. I considered paying for an ad but hesitate if this issue persists. Despite changing and spell-checking each posting, the problem remains. I have other ads that have been successful, so I don't believe it's IP related. I have reached out to Craigslist four times over four weeks without any response.

I have concerns about possible fraud in a vehicle sale negotiation. The seller is suggesting the transaction go through eBay for safety, mentioning a 5-day inspection period after receiving the RV before payment. They are asking for contact details for eBay processing. I would like advice on this situation. Thank you. - P. Holt

I need help reporting an individual responding to my room rental ad under three different names. I am certain it is the same person due to a personal conflict we have. They are using multiple identities to apply for my two available rooms. I strongly believe it is her. I have been advised by the authorities to gather evidence by identifying her email address before involving the police further.

I reached out to Craigslist regarding a potential scam involving a falsely advertised Backhoe priced at $16,[redacted] (post id: [redacted]). After discovering the same equipment listed in Middlebury, VT for $59,[redacted], I contacted the legitimate company G. Stone Commercial Division who confirmed the real availability of the Backhoe in VT. Despite my efforts to report this to Craigslist and government fraud, the ad remains unflagged. The scammer responded with a story about the equipment being in Indiana due to personal reasons and offering free delivery. I have shared all details with proper authorities but haven't seen any action taken. I'm concerned about others falling victim to this scam. If anyone can help flag this ad to protect others, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Hal Becker.

I came across a car for sale on your website. After meeting with the seller and deciding to buy the vehicle, I gave a $2,[redacted] deposit on October 21. The seller was supposed to hand over the car on October 25 but failed to do so. Consequently, I purchased another vehicle, and now the seller refuses to refund the deposit, claiming it was non-refundable. Unfortunately, the seller did not provide all their contact details, and I suspect they may have given the wrong VIN number. I have a screenshot of the information from their ad. Is there any way to help me recover the $2,[redacted]? My name is Julie Ann C. The police have stated it's a civil matter, but I feel like I was deliberately deceived by the seller. I would appreciate any guidance on seeking assistance.

I need help to stop someone from flagging my post on Craigslist. My listing for a chihuahua puppy with the post ID [redacted] in the "general for sale - by owner" category was flagged and removed. The description mentioned that the male chihuahua puppy is a good friend and a great watch dog. I received an automated email from Craigslist notifying me of the removal and providing links to their guidelines and flagging information. I appreciate any advice on how to prevent this from happening again. Thank you.

I own a house with a converted two-bedroom, one-bath apartment that I've been renting out. I've had issues with multiple tenants over the past year, including one who trashed the place, another who didn't pay rent, and a third who threatened me and has since moved out. The third tenant continues to flag my rental posts, even after I reword them. I removed the flagged ads, but I'm concerned they might still be online. I filed a police report because she stole some items before leaving. I'm unsure how to verify if the ads are still active and feeling overwhelmed by the situation. Any advice would be appreciated.

I left my phone number for a potential buyer, as I needed to sell a product quickly for work. After exchanging texts, they asked for a Google Voice code, which I thought was normal. However, when I tried calling them back, the call was rejected. Now, I'm worried about my information being compromised. How can I secure my data and what steps should I take next to protect myself from identity theft?

I was unfortunately a victim of a rental scam in Cocoa Beach. I booked a condo for my mother's last days battling stage 4 breast cancer. After doing a wire transfer, I found out that the person I sent the money to didn't actually own the condo. When we arrived, he delayed our check-in, making us wait at the beach. My mother, exhausted from the trip, broke her femur while waiting, leading to surgery and her passing a few days later. This situation drained all my savings, leaving me unable to afford proper arrangements for her. I am struggling financially, and with the holidays approaching, I have no money for gifts or essential expenses. I reached out to Craigslist for help in getting a refund of $2,[redacted], but I haven't received any assistance yet.

When I try to respond to a craigslist ad, it always uses my Gmail address by default. How can I add another email address to my craigslist account so I can reply to ads using a different email?
Can I have multiple email addresses to reply to craigslist ads?
I sent a similar question about a month ago and never received a response. I just want to know if it's possible to select which email address to use when replying to craigslist ads. I would appreciate a prompt response. If it's allowed, I would like to use a second email address to reply to ads. I hope this clarifies my request. Your quick reply is greatly appreciated. I hope to hear back soon.

I posted a Craigslist ad looking to meet women for casual dating. A young lady, who said she was 23, responded. After she repeatedly asked for money, claiming to be in a tough situation, I became suspicious. Despite me not wanting the photos she sent me, she continued to ask for financial assistance. Eventually, she started blackmailing me. To protect myself, I sent money through Western Union to create a record. I even met her for lunch twice and gave her nearly $[redacted] in cash and through Western Union. Recently, her alleged father contacted me, saying she is only 17 and demanded $[redacted] or he would involve the police. I believe she has been misrepresenting herself as an adult. Now her father, who claims to be a policeman, is falsely accusing me. I need assistance in obtaining her emails to prove what really happened.

There seems to be a concerning situation with fraudulent ads for a three-bedroom, two-bathroom house in Phoenix, Arizona, using my phone number. The listings offer unrealistically low prices with a promotion of two months of free rent. Numerous individuals have contacted me in response to this ad, mentioning that they have reported it as well. It is unclear if this is a deliberate act or a mistake on the part of the poster. However, the claim of not checking emails by the individual using my phone number raises suspicions. I would greatly appreciate assistance in identifying and stopping this individual from causing further distress. If possible, sharing the associated email address would aid in involving the local authorities to address this issue promptly.

My son received a suspicious response to his truck listing offering to pay $[redacted] without inspecting it and mentioned sending an extra $50 to ensure the deal. They requested his address for a check to be sent within 24 hours. Concerned about his actions, I contacted the individual named Jennifer and advised against sending any money. I have reported the incident, but I am unsure of further steps to prevent the transaction.

This is my final attempt to seek help. On Craigslist, when I try to buy an item and click on the "show phone" option in the reply box, an error message pops up consistently. It happens regardless of the item I am interested in, even when I tested with my own listing. Everything else works fine on the site except for this phone display issue. It's frustrating when sellers only provide a phone number without responding to emails. I am considering giving up on this platform. Kindly assist me with this matter. Thank you. Roger T. Hello. I am involved in a non-profit and sell new home decor and improvement items on Craigslist to raise funds for our community projects. The items are generously donated by a local home improvement store, and every purchase supports our cause. I operate legally as a registered 501C3 with the IRS. I am puzzled as to why my Craigslist posts have been removed twice. I ensure that each post clearly states that the proceeds benefit our non-profit. With a weekly update of new inventory, I frequently post, keeping the title consistent while updating with the latest items. I am seeking assistance to understand why my posts are being taken down. Thank you for any help you can provide.
