I cancelled my Geek Squad Service Contract a day after it renewed on February 4th, [redacted]. I used a debit card for the payment. I've been following up since March 6th, contacting them several times over the phone, even speaking with a supervisor. Each time, I was told there was a computer error they were investigating. Every call resulted in a different excuse for why I haven't received my $[redacted].99 refund. I simply want my refund without any more changing explanations.

I had two appointments scheduled for audio gear installation on Saturday, March 28th at the Coralville, Iowa Best Buy. We had made these appointments two months in advance. Upon arriving early, there was no one available. I spoke with the sales manager, Kathy, who informed me that the installer was unavailable due to a family emergency. She mentioned that the Geek Squad manager, Kaleb, had supposedly called me to reschedule, but I never received any calls. She assured me he would contact me by 11am, but it's now 2:45 and still no call. I attempted to contact Geek Squad customer service four times and spent a total of ninety minutes on hold with no success in reaching the Coralville Iowa Geek Squad manager, Kaleb. I am disappointed with the level of service and will be taking my installation business elsewhere. As a Total Tech member, I had higher expectations for the service provided.

Hello, I've been experiencing ongoing issues with my laptop at the Germantown BestBuy store. There have been inconsistent updates on the progress of fixing it. Initially, they asked for a recovery key from Microsoft, which I provided. Days later, another service representative mentioned they were 30% done reloading my data, only to later find out from a different tech that they hadn't even started due to needing a recovery key. I was told an ARA would be there at 6 pm, but upon arrival, I was informed the ARA hadn't started. Despite assurances, I was left waiting for updates that never came. Feeling frustrated as I rely on this laptop for business, I am considering reaching out to higher management to address these service issues.

I purchased an in-home repair service from Best Buy because my Amazon Fire Stick was malfunctioning. Despite paying $99 for the service, the technician from the Geek Squad did not fully resolve the issue. I tried multiple times to schedule appointments for them to come back, but they either didn't show up or canceled without explanation. As a disabled senior, my TV and computer games are a vital part of my daily routine, so the lack of timely and effective service from Best Buy has been frustrating. I have tried to change the pickup person for my order on the website multiple times, but I am unable to do so. Despite following the instructions that say it is possible to change the pickup person by going to the order and selecting "make pickup changes," I am only able to modify the store location and not the pickup person details which are currently listed without an option to make changes. I have ensured that a pickup person is added to my profile and set as the default, and have even added another pickup person for testing purposes, but unfortunately, this has not resolved the issue.

I recently bought 3 full sets of kitchen appliances from Best Buy and have been extremely disappointed with the customer service I received. The installation of my dishwasher was not completed by the team back in November [redacted], which was 5 months ago. I was assured a $[redacted] store credit to arrange for my own installer, but I have been struggling to get this sorted. I have had to spend countless hours on the phone trying to resolve this issue, missing out on various promotions while waiting for the promised gift card to arrive via USPS. My new TV is broken, and it was meant to be picked up today as per a text I received from Best Buy. However, now they are rescheduling it for tomorrow. Ryan, the assigned agent, called this morning, stating he couldn't take the TV due to lack of space in his van. This is unacceptable as I turned down work today to deal with this issue. I want Best Buy to stick to their promise and remove the TV today as agreed. This situation has already cost me two days of work, and I believe I should receive financial compensation for Best Buy's errors. Alternatively, I can leave the TV by the front door for pickup, allowing me to return to work promptly.

I am disputing a cell restocking fee. I purchased the phone, but after doing more research, I returned it the next day. I recently purchased an open-box TV from Best Buy, but unfortunately, it did not include a remote control or stand. Despite the box indicating no issues with the TV, my friend had a negative encounter with the store staff. When I contacted the store to seek assistance, the employee I spoke with denied my request to speak with a manager and insisted that I return the TV to the store. I expressed my difficulty in returning it promptly as I lack transportation and my friend had kindly gifted it to me for our anniversary. Therefore, it's challenging for me to go back to the store quickly to obtain the missing components, and I am uncertain if they will have them available.

I have been billed for a Microsoft Office subscription for three years now. I initially only wanted it for one year, but unfortunately, Best Buy did not inform me before renewing the subscription each time. Initially, I was eligible for a refund, but after being directed to their escalation team for an investigation, I never received a follow-up. Although the subscription was canceled, I am still seeing the charges on my account. When I contacted them again, they mentioned that I am now overdue for a refund and have to make a payment. I'm uncertain about what steps to take next.

I recently reviewed my credit card statement and noticed a recurring charge of $16.94 per month, which I discovered was for insurance on a computer I purchased from Best Buy 3-5 years ago. Despite speaking with a Best Buy representative who explained that I had signed up for this insurance, I have no recollection of doing so. I find it unnecessary to have insurance on a computer with an existing warranty, especially considering the total cost over the years could have equated to buying a new one. I bought an open box television from Best Buy on Saturday, June 17th, [redacted]. Upon getting it home, I realized it was missing the correct stand legs. I called Best Buy about 2 hours later, and unfortunately, the person I spoke to couldn't fix the issue. When I requested a manager, I was informed they were not available on weekends, and I was promised a callback. However, I have not received any response yet.

I brought my iPad Air to Best Buy in Valparaiso, Indiana, because the charger port was damaged. With AppleCare, they handled the repair. When I returned to pick it up, they gave it to the wrong person, complicating things. The Geek Squad member, Josh, was helpful, but it took a week to receive the repaired iPad. Additionally, they failed to remove my SIM card, causing further inconvenience with Sprint. The General Manager seemed disinterested and unhelpful during the situation, making me feel undervalued as a customer. Another customer received my iPad in error. I only received a $49 refund and the correct iPad after some delay. I believe the situation could have been handled more efficiently, and ideally, I would have left with a functioning device on the same day I came to collect it.

I bought a Dell Monitor - S3222DGM 32" LED Curved QHD in November [redacted], but only opened it now to find a cracked screen. I bought a Ryzen 5600g on April 29th from Best Buy via Ebay. The processor arrived on May 5th. I installed it in my computer a week ago, but last night it failed to boot, showing only a black screen. As a retired hardware certified technician, I used a motherboard diagnostic board and confirmed that the processor is defective. I would like to bring to the attention of the store manager at the Arroyo Crossing branch in Las Vegas that some employees I interacted with were rude. During a demonstration of a soundbar system, an employee abruptly stopped playing it without providing an explanation. Additionally, when inquiring about the wattage I should order for a car audio installation, the lead technician claimed not to know and ended the conversation. It is important to address these instances as they do not reflect good customer service.
