Hello, my name is William Scott, and I had an appointment with The Masters Home Improvement scheduled for 10:00am today. It is currently 10:45am, and after calling the company, they mentioned that my appointment was actually set for tomorrow at 10am. I explained that I had taken time off work to be present for the appointment today and needed someone to be there. Despite this, he suggested just coming tomorrow, disregarding my current availability. I hope the other two contractors I have booked are more reliable. I may need to reconsider using your services for any future home improvements.

I am interested in creating a rustic vintage Texas-style kitchen for my home renovation project. This includes installing new cabinets, removing popcorn ceiling, patching and painting the ceiling white, replacing wallpaper with orange peel texture on walls and ceiling, adding more cabinets for storage, installing a new pantry, new window treatments like plantation shutters, and updating the flooring with tile. I recently completed a job, but unfortunately, the customer was not home despite my multiple attempts to contact them by knocking on the door, calling, and texting. I waited for over 30 minutes as agreed, but they never responded, so I had to clock out. I have not received payment for this job yet, although I received immediate payment for another job I did earlier today. I am puzzled why this payment is delayed, as I followed all the necessary steps. I hope to receive the payment soon as it has been inconvenient, especially after traveling almost 2 hours for the job.

I contacted Angi's List in Fort Wayne and hired someone to fix a roof leak. On August 3, [redacted], two workers arrived at my door, purchased supplies, and claimed to have fixed the roof. They mentioned returning to fix the living room ceiling without scheduling an appointment. I also inquired about basement cleaning, which they agreed to do on August 21, [redacted], but did not show up. I paid them $[redacted], half of the total $[redacted]. I tried calling the number ([redacted]) provided but it was always busy or unanswered. The names given were Justin and possibly Dan. Concerned about being ripped off and the elderly, I want resolution by getting my ceiling fixed and terminating their services. I do not wish to face issues at 80 years old, preparing to move after 40 years in my home. To address this, I need to take action against these individuals. Thank you. Pat, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

I was supposed to have a service on 8/24/22, and the person never showed up. When I contacted the main number to report the no-show, I was told the service person was already working at my house, but that wasn't true as she wasn't there. They even provided me with a fake phone number for the person. The service was never done, yet I see a charge of $[redacted].00 pending, which is unacceptable. This isn't the first time a scheduled service person failed to show up because two weeks ago, another person canceled last minute via email. I've had enough of this unprofessional service and I am currently speaking with a Home Advisor representative to cancel my account.

I made a payment of $25 and began a project on September 26, [redacted]. Christopher T. contacted me shortly after to schedule an assessment. The project involved replacing 48 linear feet of fencing. Despite multiple attempts to get an update, I only received an email on October 23 with an estimate ranging from $13,[redacted] to $26,[redacted]. The quoted price seems unreasonably high compared to the materials cost of under $1,[redacted]. I am concerned about the labor cost and the delay in communication. I expect a prompt response as I wanted the project completed before winter. If I don't hear back within two days, I will escalate this matter to the Better Business Bureau in Fond du Lac. Whenever I request a professional through the platform, funds are deducted once the service is arranged. Unfortunately, the handyman named "K.....m" did not show up twice, and I had $[redacted].00 deducted. When Angi refunded the amount, it was split into three transactions. However, the funds were not available for withdrawal immediately. The lack of communication about these issues is frustrating. Additionally, there are difficulties in accessing customer service as the online system directs users to scheduling services rather than addressing concerns. Despite sending several emails, the same handyman is being scheduled repeatedly. I am seeking a direct contact method to reach someone in charge for resolution.

On January 6th, [redacted], I received a $[redacted] refund for an oven repair that was more successful than I anticipated. I am grateful that the company listened and responded promptly, but I am facing an issue. In December, I used the service to fix my GE Oven, and a technician named Paul came to assess the issue. He advised me to order a new Control Board, which I did and successfully installed myself. I shared my experience with Angi, mentioning that I thought the $[redacted] charge for an hour's labor was excessive. Instead of a partial refund, Angi refunded the full amount, which was generous. However, I recently learned that Paul had the payment withdrawn from his account, leaving him with a negative balance of -$[redacted]. I believe he should be compensated for his expertise and hard work. Paul's efficiency and dedication to solving the problem promptly were commendable, and he offered to return if needed, demonstrating excellent customer service. I respectfully ask for the negative balance to be rectified in recognition of Paul's efforts. Thank you for addressing this matter.

I recently purchased a loft bed for my son from Walmart. After delivery, Heather and her boyfriend attempted to assemble the bed, but it took them two days and was done incorrectly. They claimed parts were missing, and the bed ended up unstable and the desk part was also put together poorly. They left with the paperwork, and now my son can't use the bed. I paid $[redacted] for this service, and I am disappointed with the result. I'm a single mother trying to provide for my kids, and this incident was a big letdown for my son. I wish to speak with a manager to get a refund and possibly get a new bed for my son. The employees were argumentative and unprofessional. I hope this can be resolved promptly. Thank you.

I had scheduled a house cleaning a month ago, but no one arrived. Now, Kari at [redacted] texted to come tomorrow to finish cleaning which was never done by Angi. I have been unable to reach them to cancel the 10am appointment on March 22, [redacted]. Please ensure they do not come. I am concerned if this could be a scam. Kindly cancel this appointment and avoid payment to anyone who arrives.

On March 8, [redacted], I engaged Leo Tree Experts in Wilson, NC, at [redacted], to remove 16 trees (crepe myrtles and knock out roses) from [redacted] Speight School Road, Wilson, and transplant them to [redacted] Speight School Road. Most of my trees are dying because they were not planted deeply enough. Another local tree service assessed the job and indicated it was poorly done with inadequate depth. I was charged $[redacted] for the service. Despite reaching out through texts, the response was inconsistent. As a senior citizen on a limited budget reliant on my Social Security income, I saved to undertake this project. Regrettably, I feel taken advantage of by the service providers. The tree experts failed to fulfill promises of fertilizing and providing potting soil, leading to a breach of trust. I am devastated and financially strained by the experience. I hired a handyman named Anthony for four projects (a bike assembly, outdoor roller shade installation, kitchen utility work, and a small desk assembly). The contract was for 4.5 hours. The roller shade took only 35 minutes, and the remaining time was spent on assembling a Viribus 7-speed tricycle, which Anthony didn't finish as he left out several small parts. I gave him a video clip from Viribus, but he didn't review it. I find this performance unacceptable, especially considering I paid over $[redacted]. Despite being handicapped, I will try to complete the bike assembly myself. I would like to cancel the other projects and receive a partial credit for the unfinished work.

The membership cost has not been justified. I was not informed about the automatic renewal process and would not have chosen to renew. I do not wish to continue a service I no longer utilize. I am requesting a refund of $29.99 to be credited back to my credit card. The contractors I requested either did not properly identify themselves or provided unreasonably high bids, which seemed more like a refusal to do the work. Despite the satisfactory window repair job performed, the installation of a new double-paned window was not communicated effectively. There was confusion regarding the completion of the work due to lack of notification. The lack of clarity in your communication methods has led us to seek contractors independently, rendering your service unnecessary. Kindly process my membership fee refund.

I had a disappointing experience with an Angi representative. I informed them that the service was not carried out as I had canceled it weeks prior, but they claimed I couldn't do that. After trying Angi again, they mistakenly sent a yard cleaner instead of an electrician and charged me $50. Recently, when searching for leaf cleaning services online, a provider associated with Angi contacted me. As soon as I realized this, I declined their services. Despite this, I received a call inquiring about my satisfaction with a service I never ordered. I clarified that there was a misunderstanding as I was just researching, not requesting a service. I provided my card number to avail your service at the agreed cost, but when Matthew didn't show up, the replacement quoted twice the amount per hour. He wanted to charge per Spicket which was not the original deal, so I declined. I now request a refund for the unauthorized charge on my account for the service that was not rendered.

My appointments to install the ceiling fan have been rescheduled three times without my consent. From the start, I made it clear that I did not want any changes unless it was for an earlier date. Despite that, the team member kept changing the schedule, causing confusion. Each day, I receive emails with new dates, and today I was informed that the project was being cancelled and I would be refunded. This experience has been disappointing and confusing. My first encounter with Angi has left me unimpressed and I cannot recommend their service. Overall, this has been a frustrating and unsatisfactory experience.

Last year, I had numerous cancellations after signing up for services and scheduling appointments. Despite requesting a refund for the membership due to the multiple reschedules and lost work days, I never received it promptly. It took almost a year to receive the reimbursement for services not rendered. Now, I have been unjustly charged again for the membership. I demand an immediate refund. I plan to file a complaint with the BBB, which I regret not doing last year, and reach out to the NJ Attorney General's office to investigate potential fraudulent practices affecting many other individuals.

I recently received an email notifying me of a $28 charge for an annual membership with ANGI. Despite requesting to cancel my membership shortly after joining last year due to multiple service cancellations, I was still billed. The service providers scheduled through ANGI inconvenienced me by cancelling multiple times and the final one who came was only there for an estimate. I wasted four days waiting for service that was never completed. It took nearly a year to remove the unauthorized charges from my credit card and now I am being charged again without consent. I am seeking a full refund for all charges, including those from last year, as this feels like more than just an error, perhaps even wire or banking fraud.

We are considering how long we can afford to continue with I&R Lawncare. Ivy has been providing bi-weekly service alone until today when he brought his wife and offspring along. While he has been punctual in mowing the lawn, we never asked him to do the hedges, which we cannot afford. Due to the seasonality of the work and our increased expenses, we may need to adjust our budget for future months and projects. Despite technical difficulties on the review site, we are not unhappy with his work. He has shown interest in working for our new neighbors and has given us an estimate for fixing a picket fence, which we have not yet confirmed. Payment arrangements have been discussed, and we are flexible due to an upcoming vacation. We want to clarify that we did not assign him to our neighbors; any potential work with them is at their discretion.
