I am looking to purchase an American Girl doll for my granddaughter for Christmas. I enjoy collecting and repairing used dolls. My granddaughter resembles a brunette Kit doll. I have a Kit doll in good condition and I am wondering if it is possible to send her in to be rewigged or receive a new head as a brunette to resemble my granddaughter more closely. I have noticed there are not many short-haired brunette dolls available. Alternatively, could we modify one of our longer-haired brunette dolls by getting her hair cut into a bob with a side part at a salon? Do you have a store in Denver where this could be done? I recently purchased an Emerson Welli American doll for my granddaughter's Christmas gift from Costco. I also got the American Girl Time for a Party box, but the clothes and shoes in the box are too big for the Emerson doll.
