How and When Can I Upgrade My Verizon FiOS Phone?

FiOS internet network is 99.99% reliable. If you are a Verizon High Speed Internet customer, you may be eligible for a FiOS upgrade. Check online to ensure that FiOS is available in your area. You may contact Verizon FiOS to inquire about the availability of the service in your area.

Think about your needs and get an upgrade that meets them. View the specs of different devices before making your choice. Think about the operating system that is most appropriate for your needs. One operating system may be more appropriate for your needs than another one.

How to Upgrade a Device

You may upgrade your device online or on the My Verizon app. If you choose to upgrade online, find the page ‘Upgrade Device' in My Verizon.

You can upgrade any time at retail prices. However, you must be eligible if you wish to upgrade to a device using a monthly device payment agreement. Sign in to ‘My Verizon' and navigate to the section ‘My Devices.' If a device is labeled as ‘Upgrade eligible,' you can upgrade it immediately.

When you buy a new device at a retail price in the device payment program, you are charged an upgrade fee. The upgrade fee varies depending on how you upgrade your phone. If you return the device within 14 days, you can get a refund on your upgrade fee.

Checking the Status of an Order Online

You can check the status of your order on your device in My Verizon. Follow these steps to check your order status;

  1. Open the ‘My Orders' page in Verizon
  2. Click on the order whose status you want to view
  3. Your order status will be displayed

When you upgrade your phone you must be signed up for the Bill to Account option if you want purchases charged to your account. There is an upgrade fee for new devices that you purchase at a retail price or with device payments. You need to have a standard monthly account with Verizon Wireless for a minimum of six months if you want to bill equipment to your account. The option is not available for prepaid accounts.

Switching Upgrades with Someone Else on Your Account

If there are multiple devices on your account, you can transfer eligibility to a line that is not yet eligible. The line that was initially eligible will no longer be eligible for an upgrade. Follow these steps to transfer upgrade eligibility to a different line on your account;

  1. Find the ‘My Devices' page in My Verizon
  2. Choose a device that is identified as ‘Upgrade eligible'
  3. Click ‘Transfer upgrade'
  4. Select the mobile number to which you wish to transfer
  5. Click ‘Transfer'

If you need help from Verizon FiOS, you should contact the customer support team. The best way to contact Verizon FIOS is on the phone. You will speak with a customer support representative who may help you.

You may also seek support on Facebook. When you post your concerns on their Facebook page, you are likely to get help fast.
