Please note that while Truist does also have an option for paying bills using Zelle, it is for sending a one-time payment only. You cannot use Zelle to send recurring bill payments.
If your payee is not on the list of payees but does have an account that is linked with your account, you can also choose to pay your recurring bill with an automatic regular ACH transfer, which is a kind of electronic transfer of funds from one account to another. The procedure for doing this is the same as the procedure for setting up a recurring bill payment. However, in step 4, tap on Transfer Money and Pay Truist bills instead of tapping on Pay Other Bills.
