Is It Possible to Merge Two Target Accounts?

Log in to your Target account if you want to merge your accounts. Select Manage My Account. Scroll down to the Account Type section, then click Merge Accounts. You will be asked to enter your username, password and login for the account you want to merge into the primary account. Review the information displayed, select Transfer My Information and click Continue. Confirm the information on your screen and choose Merge Accounts.

1. Log In to Your Target Account

Sign in to your Target account and go to the Merge Accounts section of the app. You'll be prompted to log into your second account using the app or website. Once logged in to both accounts, you'll see a screen that tells you which accounts are eligible for merging.

This step is pretty straightforward — confirm that your accounts are eligible for merging and that you want to move the account details from one account to another. Merging accounts will permanently combine all information from both accounts.

2. Select Merge Accounts

Use the same email address you used when signing up for one of your accounts if this is your first time merging. Otherwise, click I Forgot My Password, type in the email address associated with your Target account, and click Next. Input the security code sent to you via text message or received in-app. Click Continue.

3. Review and Transfer Account Details

Review your information and choose to transfer between your two Target accounts, then tap Continue. In the next window, you'll see your old account details. Tap Transfer — this ensures that your old account details will be transferred to your new account.

4. Confirm and Merge Accounts

Log in to your old account and select Merge Accounts. You will be directed to enter your new account information. After you have confirmed the information, select Merge My Account.

The system will log you out of your old account. You can log back into your new one. When you log back in, you should see your details from your old account.
