How Do I Report a Scammer to ROBLOX?

Introduction

Roblox has a large and robust community of developers and players trying to have fun and help others have fun. Unfortunately, as with any large online community involving people of all ages, there are also sometimes scammers trying to take advantage of people in all kinds of different ways. If you have been the victim of a scammer or see behavior that looks like a scam directed at others, you should learn how to report the person to Roblox admins. There are a couple of different ways you can do it.

What You'll Need

There are only two official ways to trade items or Robux: the Trade feature and the Selling feature. Any offers to trade outside of these channels should be considered suspicious.Any offer of free Robux, free items, or premium accounts if you visit a link are extremely suspicious and the link is probably dangerous.If someone in an experience or chat claims to be a Roblox admin and demands you password or other confidential information, check their profile before providing anything. If they are a real admin, they will have the Roblox Admin badge in their list of badges. If they do not, they should be reported.In an experience, all Roblox staff members will have an icon with a tilted square next to their names in the list of users in the experience.Roblox does not offer any way to buy or sell experiences. If someone offers to sell you one or to buy one of yours, it is probably a scam.

Hit the menu button located in the upper left corner of the screen in an experience to report another user in that experience.

A menu will appear.
To report a user outside of an experience, skip to step 11.

Click on the Report option at the top of the menu.

Click on the Person tab when asked "Experience or Person?"

Click on the "Which Person?" menu.

A menu with the names of all of the users in the experience will appear.

Find the name of the user you wish to report.

Click on the "Reason for Abuse?" menu.

Select a violation from the menu options.

Provide additional details in the Short Description text field.

Keep it short and simple, and don't get emotional. Just stick to the facts.

Click the Submit button to send the report.

Do not proceed with further steps.

Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner of the window of a chat in the browser app to report a user in a chat.

You will be taken to the Chat Details page.
If you wish to report a suspected false Roblox admin, remember to check for the Admin badge in their profile.
To report a user in a chat on the mobile app, skip to step 17.

Locate the name of the user you wish to report and click on the button with the three dots next to that user's name.

A menu will appear.

Select the Report option.

Click the Report button when asked, "Continue to report?"

Fill out the report form.

Stick to the facts and keep it simple.

Click the Report Abuse button.

Do not proceed with further steps.

Tap on the "i" icon in the upper right corner of the screen.

Locate the name of the user you wish to report.

Click on the three dots icon next to that name.

Select the Report Abuse option.

Fill out the form and submit it.

Keep it short and factual.
