  5. Tap on the bill from your list of bill payees.

Have You Considered All Your Options?

If you want to cancel the recurring payment because you no longer owe the bill, that's one thing. However, if you're canceling the recurring payment because you're worried that you might not have enough money in your account when the bill comes due, you have another option. You can simply cancel the next upcoming payment. That way, you can still make future payments without worrying about forgetting one. To cancel an upcoming payment, use this procedure:

  1. Open the Chase mobile app.
  2. Log into your Chase account.
  3. Tap on the Pay & Transfer option in the menu bar at the bottom of the page.
  4. Tap on See Activity.
  5. Select the pending payment you want to cancel.
  6. Tap on the Cancel option for that payment.

When you cancel the payment, contact the payee and let someone know what happened. See if the payee can work with you on the missed payment.
