In fact, much of this information on this page is superfluous because this Nissan USA phone number is a direct line to a human being. The line is well-staffed and you should anticipate a very short wait on hold or none whatsoever, as long as you are calling during business hours.

What are the hours and when should I call?

Nissan USA operates the call center for this 214-596-4000 phone number 24 hours, 7 days. The short answer is that you should call on a Tuesday. This observation and the following section are based on analysis of a sample set of 947 calls made in the last 90 days using our free, web-based phone (see above).
An important note: busy times vs hold times vs best time to call
When we refer to busy or less busy times, we are talking about the volume of calls. The busiest times are when the most people are calling this Nissan USA phone number (least busy times have fewer people calling). This high call volume does not necessarily mean that you will have a long hold time when you call. Companies like Nissan USA staff their call centers differently based on the time of day and day of the week, so you may experience a shorter wait on hold at the busiest of times. When we refer to the best time to call, we are referring to the optimal combination of lower call volume and shorter wait times.

The least busy time to call

The least busy day to call Nissan USA is Tuesday. The most busy day to call is Monday. Again, this is based on a sample of 947 calls made with our AI-powered, web-based phone in the last 90 days.

The shortest wait on hold

We measured the shortest hold times to be on Monday. The longest wait in the queue on average occurs on Friday.

The best time to call

In summation, the best day to call Nissan USA is Tuesday. This is not the day with the shortest wait on hold in the phone system, but we still recommend it for its ideal combination of low call volume and short hold times. Plus we believe that Nissan USA staffs the call center well on Tuesday.
Once again, please put this information in perspective because this phone number has no phone menu or long waits. It generally gets picked up right away if calling during their opening hours. If there is any way, it will typically be very short.

Although Nissan USA's 214-596-4000 phone number is an official contact point, it doesn't work properly unless you happen to know someone at the company. When you call this number, you're greeted with a confirmation message that you've reached Nissan of America, and you're then presented with two options.

If you know your party's extension number, you can press 2 and be taken to the menu where you enter their information. If you're simply calling Nissan, the system tells you to press 1 to go to the automated system.

Unfortunately, that's where things go off the rails, because the transfer to the automated system doesn't work as intended. When you hit the button to be transferred to the automated system, the system automatically hangs up, even though it's telling you that it's transferring you to the appropriate number. After I hit 1, the number gave me a standard, "Please wait while your call is transferred," and I immediately heard the dial tone confirming that the system had hung up.

I checked to make sure that I hadn't accidentally hit the wrong button, which I had not. I then called back to see if it had been a mistake, and the system again hung up on me. With no real options left, I was forced to leave the call there.

When researching this number, the main result that popped up was Nissan's debt collections, so it really doesn't seem as if this number is meant for customer service. It appears the only people who would call this number are people who already have an issue with Nissan's billing and would be calling someone specific.

However, that's no excuse for having a number transfer system that doesn't work properly. If Nissan doesn't want people using this number to call for customer service, it shouldn't even offer a connection to the automated system as an option. Instead, Nissan could provide the correct number for customers to call if they have reached this number for whatever reason.

Other than that issue, the number seems to work well for its purposes. When you consider most people using this number will have a specific reason for calling, the number's setup makes sense. However, I can't properly judge the customer service provided by using this number, as it's designed to connect certain customers to a specific person who can help them.

Obviously, I don't recommend using this number unless Nissan has provided it to you and told you to use it. Unless you need to reach someone specific and know their extension, this number will be of no help to you.
