What are the hours and when should I call?

Motel 6 operates the call center for this 800-466-8356 phone number 24 hours, 7 days. The short answer is that you should call on a Wednesday. This observation and the following section are based on analysis of a sample set of 313 calls made in the last 90 days using our free, web-based phone (see above).

Automatically call when they open

When you use our free AI-powered phone to call and talk, wait on hold, or navigate for you, it will automatically wait until the Motel 6 call center opens before trying to call. It will ask your permission before it places the call, so you can also further delay that scheduled call until you are ready. But that means you can "set it and forget it" ahead of time.
An important note: busy times vs hold times vs best time to call
When we refer to busy or less busy times, we are talking about the volume of calls. The busiest times are when the most people are calling this Motel 6 phone number (least busy times have fewer people calling). This high call volume does not necessarily mean that you will have a long hold time when you call. Companies like Motel 6 staff their call centers differently based on the time of day and day of the week, so you may experience a shorter wait on hold at the busiest of times. When we refer to the best time to call, we are referring to the optimal combination of lower call volume and shorter wait times.

The least busy time to call

The least busy day to call Motel 6 is Wednesday. The most busy day to call is Friday, which averages 143% more phone calls by comparison. Again, this is based on a sample of 313 calls made with our AI-powered, web-based phone in the last 90 days.

The shortest wait on hold

We measured the shortest hold times to be on Tuesday. The longest wait in the queue on average occurs on Wednesday.
But if you use our free call and talk for me or wait on hold for me service, you don't really need to worry about average wait times.

The best time to call Motel 6

In summation, the best day to call Motel 6 is Wednesday. This is not the day with the shortest wait on hold in the phone system, but we still recommend it for its ideal combination of low call volume and short hold times. Plus we believe that Motel 6 staffs the call center well on Wednesday.

Calling this Motel 6 Customer Number

When calling Motel 6, it's important to know that the telephone system is highly sensitive to even the smallest sound. When I called this number, I had to turn off speaker phone to get connected, as even a drip from the faucet caused the system to react as if I had said something it didn't catch.

Once I was able to get through, I told the system I was looking at reservation information. The system quickly connected me to the Motel 6 help center, and I asked what the cancellation policy would be if I needed to cancel my plans for my trip.

The representative told me that it depended on when and where I would be staying and asked where I was looking to stay. I told her I was planning to travel to Tampa, and that I would be heading there from May 21 to May 26. She asked which of the two Tampa locations I preferred, and I provided the location. She then said that the location I'd selected offered same-day cancellation, and she did still have a room available for those dates.

At that point, she gave me the daily rate for the stay and said that she would be ready to start a reservation for me if I provided my phone number. I told her I wasn't ready to do that and thanked her for the information, ending the call.

Overall, I thought this was a productive call. I was able to get all of the information I needed, I didn't have any kind of wait time and I could have gotten a reservation going if I had chosen to do so. The only real issue was the sensitive answering system and its lack of options provided. Once you get past that opening, I would absolutely use this phone number if I needed help with Motel 6.
