What are the hours and when should I call?
Comenity Bank operates the call center for this 800-675-5685 phone number Mon-Sat 8am-9pm ET.The short answer is that you should call on a Saturday. This observation and the following section are based on analysis of a sample set of 1,537 calls made in the last 90 days using our free, web-based phone (see above).
When you use our free AI-powered phone to call and talk, wait on hold, or navigate for you, it will automatically wait until the Comenity Bank call center opens before trying to call. It will ask your permission before it places the call, so you can also further delay that scheduled call until you are ready. But that means you can "set it and forget it" ahead of time.
An important note: busy times vs hold times vs best time to call
When we refer to busy or less busy times, we are talking about the volume of calls. The busiest times are when the most people are calling this Comenity Bank phone number (least busy times have fewer people calling). This high call volume does not necessarily mean that you will have a long hold time when you call. Companies like Comenity Bank staff their call centers differently based on the time of day and day of the week, so you may experience a shorter wait on hold at the busiest of times. When we refer to the best time to call, we are referring to the optimal combination of lower call volume and shorter wait times.
The least busy time to call
The least busy day to call Comenity Bank is Saturday. The most busy day to call is Friday, which averages 89% more phone calls by comparison.Again, this is based on a sample of 1,537 calls made with our AI-powered, web-based phone in the last 90 days.

The shortest wait on hold
We measured the shortest hold times to be on Saturday. The longest wait in the queue on average occurs on Tuesday, which is 256% longer than the minimum. As you can see, there is more fluctuation in hold time over the course of the week than there is in call volume.
In summation, the best day to call Comenity Bank is Saturday. In this case, it's a no-brainer. Saturday is not only the least busy day for calling this Comenity Bank number, but it is also the day with the shortest hold times.
Calling Comenity Bank is really only meant for people who have already gotten a card through one of Comenity's companies. If you don't already have an account, there's really not a lot this number can or will do for you. When I called, I was asked for the company through Comenity that I was trying to reach, and I opted for Pier 1 and its rewards program.
Upon doing so, I was first asked to provide my 16 digit account number, something I did not have available. I said that I didn't have one, and I was then asked to identify myself by providing my Social Security number. I was unwilling to give out this information, so the system finally moved on to going through the motions of trying to connect me to a representative.
I say going through the motions because there was actually nobody available to take my call. When the system tried to connect me to someone, it said that all representatives were busy assisting other customers and that I would need to try back again another time. I was not given the chance to wait for someone to answer my call after a hold time, given an opportunity to work with the automated system or asked if I would like to hold my place in line. The system simply decided that I would be ending the call then and there, and did so.
Based on this, it's hard to gauge how effective the customer service is. It might be really good for people who already have an account, but it does not make a good first impression to potential customers. Based on this experience, I would not use this number if I needed to get assistance with my account.
