Is signature required for UPS deliveries?

Asked a year ago
Yes, a signature is typically required for UPS deliveries. However, there are some exceptions to this requirement. UPS may deliver without a signature for certain shipments that can be left unattended in a secure location at the delivery address. Additionally, UPS allows shippers to provide specific delivery instructions, such as leaving the package with a neighbor or at a nearby UPS Access Point, where a signature may not be required. Customers can also opt for a UPS My Choice account, which allows them to customize their delivery preferences, including signing for packages electronically or authorizing the shipment to be left without a signature. However, for most standard deliveries, UPS requires a signature to ensure secure delivery and prevent package theft.
