How does TriMet accommodate individuals with disabilities?

Asked a year ago
TriMet is committed to providing accessible transportation for individuals with disabilities. We offer a range of accommodations to ensure equal access for all passengers. Our buses and trains are equipped with ramps or lifts, making them accessible to individuals using mobility devices such as wheelchairs or walkers. Priority seating is available for passengers with disabilities, and our operators are trained to assist individuals when needed. We also provide special services such as LIFT, a door-to-door service for those unable to use fixed-route transit. Additionally, we have audible and visual announcements on board our vehicles to aid individuals with hearing or visual impairments. TriMet is dedicated to creating a safe and inclusive transit experience for individuals with disabilities to enhance their mobility and independence.
