Are there any disability services available for students with special needs?

Asked a year ago
Yes, Sheridan provides disability services to support students with special needs. Our Accessible Learning Services (ALS) offers a range of accommodations and supports to help students succeed academically. ALS works with individuals who provide appropriate documentation and offer specific recommendations for accommodations. Examples of services include assistive technologies, note-taking support, alternative format materials, sign language interpretation, and exam accommodations. Additionally, ALS advisors work closely with students to develop individualized educational plans, which outline necessary accommodations and strategies. Our goal is to ensure a barrier-free academic environment and promote inclusive education for all students. To access disability services, students are encouraged to contact ALS and schedule an appointment to discuss their specific needs.
