Which Body Shops Does Metlife Allow Me to Use?

No matter where you choose to get your repairs done, MetLife Auto Insurance has you covered. You are free to choose the autobody shop of your choice, but it's highly recommended that you use a CARE Network pre-approved body shop. You can use the search function on the Metlife Auto Insurance website to find your closest one.

Metlife Auto Insurance gives you the choice between using a body shop from their CARE network, which comes with a guarantee on all repairs completed, or using an auto body repair shop of your choice.

Find A Body Shop in MetLife CARE Network

The CARE network by MetLife Auto Insurance brings you quality repair facilities across the country by partnering with local car repair shops and setting quality standards. The repairs at these shops will be guaranteed for as long as you own the vehicle.

Find out where CARE facilities are located near you by following the below steps:

  1. Visit the Metlife Auto Insurance website to access the network search tool.
Then, enter the zip code or city where you are looking to get a list of auto body shops in the area.
  2. All the store's contact information will appear in the search results, as well as the location.
  3. After choosing the auto body shop of your choice, all you need to do is contact them on the number listed in the search results to set up a booking.

Using your Own Autobody Shop

If your preferred auto body shop is not part of the CARE network, you are still able to use it. However, the repairs carried out will not be guaranteed as with the CARE network.

To use your own auto body shop you can follow the below instructions:

  1. Your chosen auto body shop will need to assess the damage to your car and provide you with a quote for repairs.
  2. You will then need to submit the appraisal to Metlife Auto Insurance once it has been received.
  3. Metlife Auto Insurances' customer support is always available to offer you advice and assistance if you are having trouble finding the right auto repair body shop in your area.
