GoDaddy is an American company that offers web hosting and Internet domain registry. Customers can purchase their web domains and build their websites with GoDaddy. The company charges based on a subscription model which varies in price for each package. GoDaddy was founded in 1997 and as of 2019 has over 19.5 million customers worldwide. If you believe you are eligible for a refunded charge from GoDaddy, keep reading for instructions on how to request a refund.

Note that to request a refund with GoDaddy, you will first need to cancel the service, domain, or product you want refunding for. However, do not cancel your account. You will need to request a refund before closing your account.

Each product type offered by GoDaddy has its own specific refund policy. GoDaddy will only issue refunds that follow the terms and conditions as outlined by its refund policy.

  • The standard policy for GoDaddy are that refunds can be processed 48 hours after the date of transaction for monthly plans, and 30 days from the date of transaction for annual plans.
  • Domain renewals and registrations can be canceled five days after the transaction date for new registrations, an auto-renewal on a multiple-year contract, or manual renewals.
  • Domain renewals and registrations can be canceled 45 days after the transaction date for the first year on an auto-renewal plan.
