Because Expedia UK is a travel agency, you're not exactly purchasing the flight from the company, you're purchasing the flight through the company. Keep on reading to learn more.

Expedia UK's Refund Policy

Expedia UK doesn't really have a refund policy because you're not buying anything from them directly. However, Expedia UK does work with the airlines on your behalf, so they may be able to help you get a refund from the airline you booked with. However, ultimately, you are bound by that airline's refund policy. In general, if you cancel the flight within 24 hours of having booked it, you will likely qualify for a refund. Any later than that, and you may or may not qualify.

Getting a Refund through Expedia UK Online

If you want to apply for a refund through Expedia UK, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Expedia UK website
  2. Log-in to your account
  3. Go to "My Trips"
  4. Select the reservation you want to cancel
  5. Click on "Cancel"

Cancelling automatically triggers an application for a refund, so you don't need to do anything further for it but wait. You will be sent a confirmation email for the cancellation. Expedia UK will notify you of whether you qualify for a refund and how much you will get. A fee may be deducted from your refund.
