Can I change my enrollment options during the year?

Asked a year ago
Yes, you can change your enrollment options during the year. BENEFEDS allows for a certain period, known as the Federal Benefits Open Season, during which you can make changes to your benefits. This typically occurs in the fall of each year. Outside of the Open Season, you may still be eligible to make changes if you experience a Qualifying Life Event (QLE), such as marriage, divorce, birth or adoption of a child, or a change in employment status. In such cases, you have 60 days from the date of the QLE to make changes to your enrollment options. It is important to note that any changes made during the year will take effect at the beginning of the following plan year unless the QLE qualifies for immediate changes.
