To set up recurring payments, take these steps:

  1. Go Ally Bank's home page.
  2. Log into your account.
  3. Go to the Bill Pay section.
  4. Find the list of your payees.
  5. Find the payee you want to pay automatically. If you can't find your payee on the list, you can add the required information yourself.
  6. Click on Recurring Payments, located next to your payee.
  7. Choose a date to start making payments on.
  8. Select a frequency for the payment.
  9. Enter an amount.
  10. If your chosen payee allows it, decide whether the bank should pay the minimum or full amount of the bill. This is a useful feature for bills that are always different, like credit card bills.
  11. Select a duration for these payments.

Ally Bank recommends you don't use the recurring bill payment tool to make court-ordered payments or to pay taxes of any sort.
