What is an air purifier and how does it work?

Asked a year ago
An air purifier is a device designed to improve indoor air quality by removing contaminants and pollutants from the air. It works by drawing in the air and passing it through a series of filters that capture particles such as dust, pollen, pet dander, and smoke. These filters typically include a pre-filter, a HEPA filter, and an activated carbon filter. The pre-filter captures larger particles, while the HEPA filter traps smaller particles effectively. The activated carbon filter absorbs odors and chemical pollutants. Some air purifiers also include additional technologies like UV germicidal lamps or ionizers to further enhance air purification. Once the air is filtered, the purifier releases the clean air back into the room, providing fresher and healthier air to breathe.
