Since moving into my new house in April, I've been facing unexpectedly high electric bills. Initially, I attributed this to the larger size of the new house, but it turned out not to be the reason. Oncor has visited twice lately, first suggesting we hire an electrician. After our landlord took care of that and confirmed the issue wasn't on our end, Oncor returned during the bill cycle due to unusually high usage. They discovered the problem and replaced the meter, resulting in lower readings. Despite only being home around 15 days a month since June, I couldn't have consumed the amount of electricity they claimed.
