I recently received a call claiming to be from Ohio Edison threatening to disconnect my electricity if I didn't pay immediately. They instructed me to use Zella on my bank's website, and when that didn't work, they told me to buy a prepaid card for the payment. Despite giving them the card number, I realized it was a scam. I attempted to reach out for help but couldn't find any live customer service. They called back asking for a copy of the card, which I didn't provide. I'm concerned whether they were able to access the $[redacted].10 that was on the card.

I added $[redacted] to my Walmart Money Card yesterday. However, I've been struggling for 6 hours to activate it. I've attempted to activate it online and through the app. After entering all my information, I can't receive the verification code needed. I spoke with online support and was provided with a phone number, [redacted]. When I called, after entering my 16-digit card number, I receive an error stating the card is not activated. I was then directed to greendot.com but ended up back on the Walmart Money Card site. I'm stuck in a loop and can't find a solution to activate my card. How do I proceed with this activation issue?

I bought a Walmart Money Card on 12/11 at the register, loaded with $[redacted] by the cashier. When I tried to register the card, I found all the numbers - front and back, including the account number, CVC, and expiration date - were scratched off when I removed the sticker. I spoke to a manager at Walmart, explained the situation, but got no help, just a suggestion to call customer service on the back of the card. I've tried calling numerous times, but they ask for the account number or my SS# (which is not in their system) and then the call disconnects. I recently purchased a prepaid Walmart money card and loaded my entire paycheck onto it. The card was then blocked when I tried to transfer money from my PayPal to my bank account because I am over [redacted] miles away from home. On December 5th, $49.45 was debited from my account by Buzzed Garcinia without my authorization. I immediately contacted them upon noticing the charge and was assured by a representative that I would be reimbursed by the 12th. However, I have not seen the refund reflected in my account yet. Yesterday, I tried calling again, but after being placed on hold for thirty minutes, I had to disconnect the call. Kindly process the refund to my card as soon as possible as I am in urgent need of the funds. Thank you.

I'm having trouble registering my new card with Walmart MoneyCard. I'm feeling frustrated because I've tried accessing the website, calling, and using live chat without success in activating my card. Five years ago, I purchased a Green Dot business money card, but I no longer have it or use it. Last month, I bought a Walmart money card and registered it, but my current card is now locked because the CVC number is different. I contacted customer service to dispute two charges. During the call, after waiting for a moment, the call got disconnected. When I tried calling back, the automated system did not allow me to enter any information. The first charge was on December 21st at 12:18 a.m. for $1.25 to trigger.com at location [redacted] GA [redacted]. The second charge was on December 22 at 1:10 a.m. for $49.95 again to trigger.com. I did not authorize these transactions and suspect my debit card information has been compromised. I need to have my current card canceled, a new one issued, and proceed with disputing these charges.

I bought a Walmart Visa gift card tonight. However, during activation, I mistakenly entered the wrong "valid through" date from the back of the card instead of the correct front date, causing a 24-hour lock on activation. I also have trouble identifying one of the 3-digit pin numbers on the back, as it resembles a zero with a line through it or possibly an eight. I entered it both ways during activation attempts, possibly contributing to the lockout. I need to use the card tonight and would appreciate your assistance with this matter. Thank you.

Today, I received mail from Green Dot Bank about a Walmart money card, but I didn't apply for it. I'm concerned my information may be compromised, and a card was mistakenly issued in my name. I request to cancel the unauthorized card to avoid any negative impact on my credit score.

My phone suddenly stopped working, and I had to get a new one which resulted in a change of my phone number. I'm struggling to transfer all my accounts as I can't access my old phone to receive verification codes. This has left me unable to use the money card app to check my balance or transactions. It's frustrating to go in circles trying to verify my identity without access to the verification code. I need assistance to resolve this issue while keeping my current account setup with direct deposit. If this continues to be a problem, I may have to stop using the money card service. I am having trouble activating the five Walmart Money Cards I bought as gifts. I can't get through to customer service for help. If this isn't resolved soon, I would like a refund. I just want to activate the cards without having to provide personal information like social security numbers or addresses.

I activated my card without entering my personal information. Later, when I tried to use it, I was declined. I have been unable to create an online account as it requires a social security number, which I don't have. I simply want to access my online account to use the $[redacted] on the card.

I contacted you on the 24th regarding my unauthorized card usage. We blocked the card and requested a new one. I paid for expedited three-day delivery with the expectation that it would arrive today, but it hasn't. The mail has already been delivered. Do you have any advice on the next steps? I've had my Walmart MoneyCard for a while now. I've been trying to reach them for a week but couldn't get through on the phone. Today, during an online chat, I discovered that my inability to add money is due to inactivity, which has caused my card to be blocked. Gilbert informed me that he couldn't assist due to security protocols and advised me to contact customer service. I have been on hold for 2 hours and 30 minutes, which is unacceptable. Even after chatting online, I was told they couldn't unblock my card for security reasons, though it was blocked without cause. The high call volume message has persisted since I started calling on the 21st of this month. Walmart really needs to improve their customer service. I hope my issue gets resolved soon, but I doubt it will. They might lose me as a customer.

I've been a Walmart Money Card customer for about six years. Because of Covid, I haven't used it much as my unemployment funds were deposited to a different card. Now that I'm back at work, I updated my direct deposit information with my Walmart Money Card, only to find out my account was closed when I tried to log in on the app. I'm not sure why it was closed, but the app clearly states that it's closed. I called the [redacted] number yesterday and was on hold for 2 1/2 hours, and today I've been on hold for almost an hour. I need to resolve this issue today so I can update my direct deposit information if needed.
