Following the passing of my brother-in-law, who was the Verizon account holder for our Verizon prepaid plan, my sister and I visited a Verizon store. The technician removed my brother-in-law from the account and made my sister the new account owner, deactivating his phone in the process. Despite my sister adding money to the account, her phone got deactivated. The website prompts us to contact the owner to transfer funds, although my sister is now the account owner. We have been unable to receive assistance at a Verizon store or through customer service. We are facing difficulties ensuring the removal of my brother-in-law's details from the account and transferring ownership to my sister.
