Booking Reference: SWJV4P I am Peter Bignell. On September 9th, I traveled to Bucharest with a request for wheelchair assistance for Aurica Tudor. Upon arrival in Istanbul, we encountered a lack of assistance, with only one unhelpful employee present. Despite our flight delay giving us only 20 minutes before the gate closure, we had to walk to our gate. In a rushed state, I injured my left hip muscle while trying to keep up with Aurica. Thanks to the kindness of a passenger on an electric chair and later another man, we managed to make it to the gate just in time. In Bucharest, we had to seek assistance again and a very helpful man assisted us through security and with our belongings. I kindly request that this feedback be forwarded to your customer care department to ensure we receive the needed help on our return trip on October 25th. Thank you in advance for your assistance. I encountered two issues on my recent Turkish Airlines flights. Firstly, despite booking a vegan meal well in advance, the food in business class did not align with my expectations. The meals lacked creativity and variety, with repetitive pasta dishes that did not live up to business class standards. As a vegan passenger, I felt disappointed by the lack of suitable meal options, especially on the long-haul flight from Istanbul to Atlanta. Furthermore, I was displeased to find myself assigned a middle seat on one segment of my journey, despite typically being seated by the window for all other flights. The service provided to me as a vegan passenger, particularly on the flight to Tel Aviv, fell short of what I had anticipated. I believe that Turkish Airlines should enhance their vegan catering to better accommodate all passengers paying for business class tickets.

I am looking to purchase a ticket from Ho Chi Minh City to Istanbul with flight TK [redacted], and then from Istanbul to Hurghada with flight TK [redacted] for a departure on October 19 from Ho Chi Minh City. I have a Surfboard and kitesurfing equipment that measures 140cm - 50cm - 25cm (215cm) and weighs approximately 25-27 kg. I will also have 30 kg of standard luggage and carry-on luggage. I would like to know how to check in the sports baggage, where and how to pay for it, and the cost for the sports luggage. Additionally, I am concerned about the possibility of the airline cancelling or rescheduling the flights last minute, as I am booking a hotel in Hurghada based on the arrival date of the flight.

Our tickets have been converted to OPEN TICKET status, valid until 31/12/[redacted]. Considering the current situation, we are unsure if we can make the trip this year, despite being fully vaccinated. We kindly request the conversion of our flight tickets into a CREDIT FACILITY, usable within the next 3-5 years. While we understand that the tickets were promotional and non-refundable, we hope Turkish Airlines can accommodate this request. The incurred costs for hotel bookings due to travel restrictions amount to over RM10K, and we hope to avoid an additional loss of RM5K if the credit facility is not approved.

Despite being a satisfied Turkish Airlines customer, my confidence has been shaken. It is important that the travel vouchers are valid for two years from the start of [redacted]. I have an important issue to address regarding a recent experience with Turkish Airlines. Esky, an agent, claimed a flight was canceled by the airline when in reality, she confessed to canceling it herself just before departure. A misleading email was sent stating that the airline would refund the money for the ticket, even though payment had not been received. This situation has caused significant trouble as a hotel was booked at great expense. The confusing circumstances involved booking the same ticket three times with a provided link. The actions of Esky have painted Turkish Airlines in a negative light, and I would appreciate a resolution to this matter promptly.

Despite my efforts to retrieve them, I had to rush to catch my departing flight, causing me to leave the bags unattended. A Turkish Airlines staff member removed the tags from my bags for unknown reasons and has them in their possession. I am confident that the company can assist in identifying my belongings. Both the Hanoi and Saigon Offices have not been helpful in answering my questions clearly, causing me additional stress during these challenging times. My ticket number is TK1594. On September 7th, I flew from Frankfurt to Cape Town. To my dismay, during my connecting flight to Cape Town at nearly 2 a.m., my phone would not open to show the PCR test code. I was one of the first passengers to line up, and when I asked the lady for help, there was no response. I waited for a while, and then she came, where I thought she would assist me. I asked her to input the code so I could show my negative test. Her response was, "It is not our problem," and she closed the gate. I started to cry and begged her to help me, but it was unsuccessful. I am 80 years old and had to sit at the cold airport without any assistance until I had to take a taxi in the morning to organize everything for my next flight in 3 days. I had to take another PCR test and spend 2 nights in Istanbul. I naturally missed my important appointment in C.T., and experiencing the stress of spending time in the cold at the airport. This was not the service one expects from an airline, and I hope for compensation for your incompetent service. I fly very often with Turkish Airways, but I have never experienced such a thing. I traveled from Dubai to Gatwick with a stopover in Istanbul on Sunday, October 30th, on flight TK1981. Before boarding at Dubai Airport, I was permitted by Turkish Airlines staff to carry a handmade gladiator helmet in my hand luggage as a gift since it wasn't a restricted item. However, during a secondary search at Istanbul Airport for my connecting Turkish Airlines flight, security staff told me I couldn't bring the helmet onboard. I tried to explain that I had just flown with the helmet on a Turkish Airlines flight from Dubai, but the security officer insisted it wasn't allowed and just kept repeating "metal, dangerous." Despite having a metal toy biplane with sharp metal propellers in my hand luggage, which he allowed, he didn't offer any explanation or alternatives, simply demanding I leave the airport or abandon the helmet. My father, who worked as a police officer at Heathrow Airport, mentioned that seized items should be documented and a paper trail followed for disposal according to aviation law. I am concerned and seeking clarification on why the helmet was confiscated and where it currently is.

Hello, I am sharing my experience traveling with Turkish Airlines from Vancouver, Canada (YVR) to Zurich, Switzerland (ZRH) with a layover in Istanbul on Thursday, October 7, [redacted], departing at 5:25 pm on flight number 76. Our journey was disrupted due to a delay in departure from Vancouver, causing us to miss our connecting flight to Zurich from Istanbul on flight number [redacted] at 4:00 pm. As a result, we had to apply for a Visa in Istanbul since the hotel provided was not in the transit area of the airport. Hello, I am Viorel Orosanu and I have two inquiries to address. Firstly, I require a receipt for the 30 euros baggage supplement purchased on 28/10/[redacted] for the Istanbul to Bologna flight at 16:20 under the name Viorel Orosanu. The credit card statement in my name, Orosanu Viorel ending in [redacted], shows the charge as "TURKISH AIRLINES UK GBR 30 EURO". Secondly, I missed my flight despite going through all security checks due to the lack of timely gate closure announcements. Unlike other airlines like Lufthansa and KLM, there was no notification about the boarding gate closing.
