Good morning community members, I recently encountered an issue with my nearly new IronWolf 12TB used for data storage, which has been running constantly. Connected to the motherboard's integrated ASMedia ASM1061 controller, it performed well for 24 days, handling over 6TB of data with excellent read/write speeds. However, today while attempting to write data, I noticed a sudden decrease in write speed to almost zero, accompanied by [redacted]% hard disk usage. When writing multiple small files, speeds reach about 40MB, but drop significantly when writing a single large file after about 600MB. Subsequent writes slow down to around [redacted] kB/s with intermittent activity despite the HDD showing full usage. Reading data appears unaffected. No recent system updates or new applications were installed prior to experiencing this issue. While SMART values indicate no problems, could there still be an underlying issue with the HDD causing these disruptions? Thank you.

My STRD[redacted] external hard drive is copying everything on my computer instead of just new data, causing it to fill up quickly. It appears the drive's system is corrupted. I previously contacted support regarding Case [redacted]1, but the issue persists. I only require the drive for backing up new data. How can I reset it without removing the operating system? I provided examples of the problem before, but Seagate has not responded. I have decided to switch to a different brand that has a history of addressing customer issues promptly.

I am experiencing an issue with setting up remote access to my Seagate Backup Plus Hub, serial number NA9QESJ5. Trying to connect it to Google Drive results in an error message stating the app has been blocked by Google for security reasons. A similar issue occurs when attempting to use Dropbox. I need assistance in resolving this matter promptly. I need to access my business data stored on my office computer from my iPhone or web browser. I purchased the IronWolf [ST4000VN008] HDD less than 30 days ago as a recertified product (SN#: ZDHANN90). The warranty has just expired, and the replacement drive I received through the RMA process seems to be defective as well. I believe that a recertified drive should come with a warranty extension, at least 90 days if not [redacted] days, to ensure the quality of the repair. I want to highlight that the drive is being used in a Synology NAS system, known for its strict requirements for drives. The system flagged the drive as "Critical" due to CRC errors. As a loyal Seagate customer, I am disappointed in the quality of the recertified drives and the company's policies regarding them. I kindly request guidance on this matter.

Regarding the LaCie d2 Professional 8TB External Hard Drive Desktop HDD, there is a message informing customers that Seagate now handles LaCie product support. When attempting to download files for the hard drive, it has been noticed that there is an issue with the Genie Backup for Windows software. Specifically, the first file listed, Genie Backup Assistant, and the third file, Genie Timeline, have the same filename and file size. Even though the download links appear different, they both download the Genie Timeline file, resulting in the Genie Backup Assistant being missing from the downloads. The file that is downloaded after clicking on the Genie Backup Assistant link is actually the Genie Timeline file.

During the warranty period, my external storage drive failed. I proceeded with the return process and sent it to the Seagate warehouse. USPS confirmed its delivery, but Seagate has not confirmed receiving it even after a month. I've been trying to reach them through their website's chat application, their only customer support channel, but I keep getting a message saying "no agents are available" before the chat closes, despite trying during their operating hours.
