On March 7th, I was notified via text that Republic had my refund and it would be ready within 1-5 days. However, this has not occurred. After contacting Republic, I discovered that the refund was mistakenly deposited into the wrong account. I submitted a Direct Deposit Disbursement Form and provided a printout of the direct deposit information from my Tax Return as requested. Despite their claim that the money was sent to a valid account, I have not received it. Republic is unable to retrieve the funds, leaving me considering legal options that I am unable to pursue at the moment.

My Bank of America account got deactivated before I filed my tax return without my knowledge. The IRS issued my refund on April 17th, but it was rejected. They directed me to Republic Bank for the refund. A Republic Bank representative informed me that the check was returned due to an incorrect address. They assured me it would be resent, and suggested I contact the local post office to hold the check for me to pick up. Unfortunately, the check has still not been resent. I have been trying to reach Republic Bank unsuccessfully. I really need assistance with this issue!

I haven't received my check yet even though the bank confirmed they have it. I'm facing hard times without work, struggling to provide food for my daughters. The bank insists on mailing my check instead of direct deposit as they did before with my taxes, causing frustration. They've had my check since Wednesday and haven't provided any updates. It's disheartening to feel like they're holding my money to collect interest. I just want my money quickly without empty promises. It's important for institutions to be empathetic towards those in need. I hope they understand the impact this delay has on people like me. This experience has made me reconsider doing any future business with this bank.

I am disappointed by the way my account closure was handled last year without any notice, causing a delay in my paycheck. Your recent offer for a pre-selected loan has only added to my frustration. Hello, my name is Lisa T. I am having an issue with the IRS stimulus check. After speaking with a customer service representative, they provided me with Republic Trust Bank's phone number and an account number. This account was where my $[redacted] stimulus check was deposited, instead of my Wells Fargo direct deposit account. The IRS tracker on their website also showed that the check was placed in Republic Trust Bank's account. Despite not owing any money to the IRS and not having an account with Republic Trust Bank, the funds were directed there. Even Jackson Hewett, my tax preparer, is unaware of why this happened since they inputted my Wells Fargo account details. When checking the automated phone service, it does not show my stimulus check in Republic Trust Bank's account. After reaching out to the IRS again, I was advised to inform you that the account number I was given belongs to Republic Trust Bank and that, since there is no reason to hold the funds, they should be returned to the IRS for reissuance to me. I am currently facing hardship due to having had COVID last December, resulting in the end of my unemployment benefits. I am seeking assistance with an issue I experienced in July [redacted] involving my CASH APP account sending $[redacted] to an unfamiliar Republic Bank Trust & Company account ending in [redacted]. Despite never having an account with this bank, the funds ended up there when I cashed out from CASH APP to my Bank Of America account.
