Hello, I have been unsuccessful in reaching out by phone, so I am following up on several previous messages I sent. I first reached out in early July and have followed up every two weeks since then. For context, I was let go from my job on March 12, [redacted], after getting COVID-19 and didn't start my new job until June 7, [redacted]. I have certified those weeks and spoke with multiple representatives over 5 months ago to approve my backdated claims. The first representative I spoke to assured me I would be paid by June 28th, and another said within 5-7 days (which was over 2 weeks ago). I really need to resolve this matter in order to claim my unemployment benefits for those 12+ weeks. Moreover, I have spent over 6 hours trying to connect with a representative after my calls were dropped three times, each lasting over 45 minutes, answering questions about pandemic insurance. I have been attempting to verify my unemployment status from March 12 to June 7 due to losing my job because of having Covid. I am calling from a landline, so it's not an issue with my internet or service. Please provide guidance and assistance. Thank you, M.T.

I recently received an End of Benefits Notice on 09/05/[redacted]. I am inquiring about the Extended Benefits that should have been in place before the Pandemic EB took effect. According to the information I received, I needed to exhaust my regular benefits and the PEUA benefits before being eligible to receive the regular EBs. However, based on the notice from 09/05/[redacted], it seems I am no longer eligible for the standard EB of 13 weeks. It appears that the online and telephone systems may have overlooked the EB that existed prior to the pandemic. I have tried contacting support using the claims number and email, but have not been successful. I would appreciate any advice or guidance on how to resolve this issue. Thank you, Ms. B.

Since filing my claim after my last day of work on 8/31/[redacted], I received a determination of benefits that approved my claim and provided my weekly benefit amount. However, I then received a letter and email instructing me to file a new claim for the waiting period without explanation. Despite being unable to do so online as advised, the option was not available. After attempting to call numerous times and facing a high call volume resulting in disconnections, I finally spoke to a representative who could only address a [redacted] tax form issue. When redirected to a lead person and anticipating a lengthy wait for assistance, the call was disconnected during the transfer. Thus far, my issues are recorded, but the unhelpful responses from the [redacted] department have left me struggling to pay my rent.

I have been struggling to file a claim several times, and the process is confusing and frustrating. After successfully filing once, I received an email about filling out another application. Unfortunately, I made a mistake on one of the questions, leading to my application being denied. Despite speaking with a representative over the phone and answering correctly, I am still facing challenges filing my claim. I am currently unemployed due to my workplace shutting down because of the pandemic, and I am at risk of being homeless. I really need assistance with this situation as soon as possible.

Good afternoon, I have been eagerly anticipating a change in my claim status from pending to approved or declined for the past 7 months. Despite speaking with 22 NYC unemployment representatives during this time, I continue to receive scripted responses that do not provide any resolution. My claim has been escalated to a manager three times, and I have patiently waited 90 days for a response via email, phone call, or mail, but to no avail. The representatives attribute the delay to a high volume of calls due to COVID-19 and fraud, urging me to be patient. However, this lack of communication is concerning, and I am in need of concrete answers. When requesting to speak with someone of higher authority, I am either transferred to another representative or informed that there is no one else available. Any advice or assistance you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Mirian C.

I applied for unemployment and received the initial payment. Shortly after, my account got blocked. They asked for my identification and later for my schedule C form. After completing the ID.me process, they assured me the block would be lifted in 3-5 business days. However, the block remains, and the funds are stuck on my Key Bank card. I’ve been unable to reach a Department of Labor representative since my case closed in September. I don’t know what to do as the money is inaccessible on the card. I call weekly for updates, but Key Bank cannot assist until they receive a message from the DOL. Any guidance on how to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.

I submitted my claim over 2 months ago as instructed and certified every week, but I have not received any payments yet. After being told to provide proof of address by the Department of Labor (DOL), I promptly sent the required documentation. Despite this, my KeyBank account was closed, further complicating matters. I contacted them multiple times, but they claim they have not received the proof of address. I feel frustrated as I continue to face obstacles and receive inconsistent explanations every time I reach out. It is essential for me to receive the benefits I am entitled to, including the back pay that has not been issued. Your assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I have been trying to file for unemployment since September. The phone line requires a pin number that I never received. Without this pin, I am unable to speak with a person and am struggling to access the system. I have spent all my savings on expenses because I cannot figure out why I am unable to file my claim. I am now running low on food. Please advise on how to navigate the prompts without a pin number. Thank you.

In November, I reached out to the unemployment office to update my card information. My previous card, ending in [redacted], received a deposit of $7,[redacted] for the period up to September. I have been struggling for two weeks to apply for NY unemployment without any luck. There seems to be a persistent issue with my NY identity or password that I cannot seem to fix. I am unable to reach out to anyone for assistance in resolving this matter. My name is Robert G., and the last four digits of my social security number are [redacted]. I'm not sure why this is an issue as I successfully collected unemployment when I was initially laid off due to COVID.

In March [redacted], when New York State started offering an additional $[redacted] per week, my account was mistakenly frozen, resulting in me not receiving six payments of $[redacted] each. To this day, as of December 27, [redacted], I have not received these owed payments. Despite my weekly calls, I have not received any assistance. I have been met with no response from the unemployment office for the past 2-3 weeks, regardless of the timing or frequency of my calls. This issue has persisted since March, and I have only encountered evasiveness. I am at my wit's end and contemplating seeking legal assistance to resolve this matter.

Hello, I applied for my unemployment back pay for the weeks ending March 15, [redacted], through May 3, [redacted]. I was informed that it would take 8-10 weeks to receive my back pay. Now, well beyond the 8-week mark, I have yet to receive any payment. Despite reaching out via email and phone calls to the Department of Labor (DOL) for updates, I have not received any direct answers. I am seeking assistance in speaking directly to someone or finding alternative methods to collect the long-overdue funds owed to me. Thank you.

I submitted a claim in July [redacted], which took about 6 to 7 months to be processed and was initially denied. I appealed the decision and won in January [redacted]. Two weeks later, my claim was updated with the approved weekly amount. However, my unpaid waiting period from 08/01/[redacted] was only processed on 02/01/[redacted]. Despite filing weekly claims, my claim remains unresolved, and no payments have been issued. Following up with multiple calls has not provided a solution, leaving me struggling to pay my bills. I am nearly four months behind on rent and facing eviction. Moreover, I risk losing my vehicle if I cannot make payments, which will severely impact my ability to work due to transportation issues.

I was terminated, and my last day was on March 28th. I filed for my first week on April 5th and have completed three weeks of certifying along with my unpaid week, but I have not received any payments. This has never happened in my previous filings, and I am extremely worried about paying my bills. It's challenging to focus on job hunting when I am so stressed due to the lack of assistance from NY State UE. I have tried calling at 8 AM for two consecutive days, but I only receive an automated message saying they cannot assist me. I have also sent two emails to NY State UE with no response, and it is impossible to reach them by phone. When I did manage to speak to someone, they were not helpful and seemed unaware of the situation. Considering contacting Channel 11 news in NY because of the lack of support from NY State UE. After working in NY for 29 years, paying taxes, and legitimately filing this claim, it is troubling to receive no updates a month later. This added stress is making job searching even more challenging.

I have been experiencing issues accessing my pay slips for some time now. There have been irregularities with the posting of the pay slips, including one for a future date. Despite reaching out for clarification, I have not received a response. The payroll is handled by a company called ARG on behalf of Vernon Staffing Group, and I have encountered problems with late direct deposits. Furthermore, ARG deducted money from my paycheck without my consent under the guise of a 401k contribution. When I tried to adjust the contribution percentage, they made several incorrect deductions due to my lack of access to my pay slips. The situation has left me unable to track where my money is going, and Vernon Staffing Group has been unhelpful in providing the necessary information or correct contacts at ARG.

I was laid off on March 1st and filed a claim. I have certified for about a month now but have not received any pay. I have been unable to reach anyone for assistance. I had a one-time severance package from my employer, and I think this is causing a delay in processing my claim. The final payment from the severance has been used up, and I am now relying on my savings. I urgently need to start receiving my payments as I search for new job opportunities. Please contact me as soon as possible so I can provide any necessary information to move my claim forward. It has been a month, and I really need assistance.

I am seeking a callback regarding my payment status. I have been unemployed for four weeks, first from Dollar General and then from Healthcare Service Group due to awaiting a contract at Woodgate in Highland. I am currently employed but have no actual work. After leaving Northeast Center for Brain Injuries, I was supposed to start working at Woodgate, which has not happened. A manager named John assured me of this, but I have not received any updates on my claim. I face difficulties reaching your representatives by phone as the system disconnects due to a high call volume. Please contact me at [redacted] to assist with my pending claim and financial situation. I urgently need assistance as I have rent to cover and have been actively job hunting with limited success due to my disabilities affecting my work at previous positions.

I recently received a Notice of Determination from the NYS Department of Labor regarding my unemployment insurance. I previously received an overpayment during the pandemic as a first-time user of UI and now have to repay it. I realized I missed providing records of my work days at a new job during the benefits period. I have a few questions: - When is the deadline for repaying the overpayment if not stated? - Can I make electronic payments to the Unemployment Insurance Division? - Is there an option for periodic payments similar to loans? - Will the UID automatically deduct from my tax refunds to reduce the amount owed? - Will the repayment only apply to the dates within the benefit year from 12/27/[redacted] to 6/27/[redacted]? I need assistance as I am currently without a steady income and would like to resolve this issue or reduce my balance. Any helpful options would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, My name is Laura Depasquale. I recently received a letter from unemployment regarding my unemployment insurance benefits certification. The letter mentioned that I had some issues with my certification due to working days in a week or not claiming benefits for a specific period. I completed the form provided, faxed it to unemployment, but have yet to receive any update or benefits for the past two weeks. I applied for partial unemployment due to my job not offering me full-time hours after my maternity leave, allowing me to work only two days a week. I have been attempting to contact them via phone, but it seems the lines are constantly busy, leading to disconnections. I am eager for a resolution to this matter.
