I am seeking assistance to address recent negative marks on my credit report. Recently, a new mark claimed my balance had risen despite my deferred payments. I am currently undergoing the process of applying for SSI due to my fibromyalgia, resulting in reduced working hours to 20 per week, which I struggle to maintain due to my declining health. It seems the late payments were wrongly attributed to me, potentially linked to a past identity theft incident where I unknowingly paid the wrong loans. I was unaware of my deferment status change while living in Israel, where my family had relocated me for care. Upon returning to the US, I realized the issue and attempted to rectify it with financial constraints hindering my efforts.

I have faced multiple relocations and have been struggling to resolve a fraudulent situation connected to an account under my name. Unfortunately, I have been unable to log in due to fake login details and security settings I did not create. Being a victim of financial and physical abuse that left me homeless, I lacked the needed resources to address this matter promptly. Now that I have found stability, I aim to tackle this issue responsibly. I have reached out to Dominguez Hills and have scheduled a meeting with them for this week.

I contacted you last week regarding an issue with my auto debit payment through Nelnet. Initially, I was informed that the first payment of $[redacted] was scheduled to be withdrawn on 11/24/19. However, on that date, the payment remained "pending" on my account but was not debited. Surprisingly, my account now indicates that the next payment of the same amount is due on 12/24/19, the original due date. This situation has left me perplexed, as I do not wish to face consequences for not paying an amount that should have been deducted but wasn't.

While studying, I had to stop due to health issues. I am enrolled to resume studying on January 6, [redacted] at Sacred Heart University. I have 3 classes left to complete my Master's degree in nursing. I am currently working, earning $[redacted].00 per month, but only take home $[redacted].00 after deductions. As a single parent with a child in school and another in college, my salary barely covers our expenses. I am seeking information on alternative options or if I qualify for any payment deferral while continuing my nursing master's degree with only 3 courses remaining. I appreciate any assistance you can provide. Good Afternoon and Merry Christmas.

I am seeking loan forgiveness due to my disability preventing me from completing my business degree after suffering 2 strokes. Despite extensive rehabilitation, I am unable to work and rely on a monthly social security check. At 76, I couldn't qualify for disability benefits. Any assistance or guidance to address my predicament would be deeply valued.

I recently transitioned my student loan from Great Lakes to Nelnet. I am having trouble accessing my information to make payments. I have tried using my last 4 digits of my SSN and DOB but have been unsuccessful. Although I can log in to studentaid.gov, when I try to make a payment, it redirects me to Nelnet due to the transfer of my loan. My payments are set to begin in October. Could you please advise me on what steps I should take next to make my payments on time?

I experienced an insanely long wait time a couple of days ago, giving up after waiting for two hours. Today, I find myself on hold again for what seems like forever. I have several questions regarding my SAVE program application. How does it work if I have two different loan types? How does filing jointly with my spouse affect this? Will being part of SAVE impact my eligibility for other loan forgiveness options? Can I delay my current payment until my SAVE application is processed? If my payment is already low, can I shorten the grace period? And, does interest continue to accrue even if I make timely payments through SAVE?

I would like to speak with an agent regarding the status of my re-application for the SAVE repayment plan. I initially applied in August [redacted] and was approved after approximately two weeks. However, upon receiving my monthly payment amount, I noticed it was much higher than expected due to errors in my application. I promptly submitted a revised application with the correct information and it has been under review since 9/5/23. Despite checking daily, there have been no updates or messages. The original monthly payment due in October has disappeared, and now it indicates I do not owe anything until December 10th. However, the actual monthly payment and due date are unclear. Any help or clarification would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your assistance.

I contacted Nelnet's TPD disabled discharge number multiple times without success. The automated system kept repeating information every 30 seconds while I waited on hold. Despite a supposed 17-minute wait time, my call lasted 55 minutes with no human interaction, just more repetitive prompts. I have also attempted to use Nelnet's regular number and sent emails without any responses or human contact. This concerns a time-sensitive matter related to a form my doctor submitted directly to Nelnet regarding TPD forms. I urgently require confirmation that the documents were received, but I'm unable to reach a live person for assistance. Can someone please help promptly?

Hello! I am looking into setting up an income-driven repayment plan. I am currently enrolled in a 2-3 year MSN program at Thomas Jefferson University. I am inquiring about eligibility for deferment. Even if I qualify, I am contemplating whether to enroll in a plan to keep my monthly payments as low as possible. My concern is that once I finish my program and my salary increases, my payments may rise under the SAVE plan. I am seeking advice on the best option for me both now and in the future. Thank you!

I am attempting to switch to the Term-Based Repayment plan with Nelnet for my student loans. Despite applying three times on their website, the plan hasn't reflected on my account. With my first payment due on October 15, it's frustrating to not receive any help or updates from them. Here are the dates I submitted the requests: - September 22, [redacted] - October 7, [redacted] - October 13, [redacted] (today) Each time, I got an email saying, “Your request is being processed.”

My son, Mark S., has a loan and is currently incarcerated. He wishes to apply for an income-based repayment plan, and has given me power of attorney to assist him with this process. When I contacted customer support, they requested his SSN and DOB; however, they also asked for the zip code he used when setting up the loan, which we do not have. Additionally, he no longer has access to the email associated with the account. How can I proceed with the application on his behalf? The last four digits of his social are [redacted], and his DOB is 5-17-[redacted]. Thank you for your help.
