I visited the Michael Kors store at Tanger Outlet in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to return some dresses on Friday, August 18 around 4 pm. However, when I approached the counter, the woman attending to me started speaking loudly enough for everyone present to hear. She embarrassed me by loudly stating that the items could not be returned as they were final sale, which I was unaware of. When I requested to speak to the manager, she identified herself as the manager and callously informed me the store closed at 8 pm, implying I could wait until then to return them, all while laughing. I believe there are security cameras in the store – I would appreciate it if you could review the footage between 4-4:45 pm that Friday. I simply wanted to return the items, and if that wasn't possible, a polite explanation would have sufficed. Another customer witnessed the incident and suggested I reach out to Michael Kors to file a complaint, as the manager's behavior was unprofessional. Despite being a long-time shopper at Michael Kors with past positive experiences, this particular incident left me feeling publicly humiliated by the store manager's actions. She missed an opportunity to uphold Michael Kors' standards of customer service and professionalism.
