I had an issue with my LaCie 4TB hard drive failing after just 1 month of use. One of the drives is working fine, but the other started making clicking noises and wouldn't show up on my desktop. I'm disappointed as I invested a lot of money in these drives. I bought it from the Apple store, but they wouldn't offer a refund or a replacement. They advised me to contact you directly for assistance. I'm hoping to get a new 4TB hard drive as it's unfair for it to crash so soon, especially when I took good care of it and had important files stored on it. You can reach me at [redacted] or by phone at +[redacted]5. I appreciate your help in resolving this matter promptly. Thank you, Steven F. [redacted]

I bought a Lacie Mobile SSD 500GB-ZML (Part number HMU22ZM/A) from an Apple Store for my new iMac (MacOS 10.15.1). After downloading the Toolkit, I noticed that the directions screens did not match the ones online. When trying to use the Mirror option, I received an error message stating, "Unable to create a Mirror plan. Format a partition or fix write permissions on a connected drive." I have not installed other parts of the application like the desktop manager or RAID yet.

I own the LaCie Portable 4TB with a USB3-C interface and a Thunderbolt 2 male connector. I have been using the USB-C interface (5Gb/s) on my [redacted] MacBook Pro and achieving speeds of about [redacted]-[redacted] MB/s on the Blackmagic Disk Speed Test app. I was considering if utilizing the Thunderbolt 2 connection (20Gb/s) might improve performance. This would involve buying a $50 Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter as my MacBook Pro has Thunderbolt 3/USB3-C ports. I am curious if the LaCie Drive can indeed support the Thunderbolt 2 connection at 20Gb/s?
