My Iomega EZ Media device is not being detected on my network by any of my devices. I am currently attempting to back it up after removing the HDD. I am concerned about potentially formatting the disk drive and losing the system files stored on it. On the support forum, it was recommended that I use Lenovo's imaging utility to restore my device to its factory settings. However, this imager is fully data destructive and cannot be shared. To obtain the imager, I need to acknowledge its nature by sending an email response with my agreement not to share it with anyone. Please provide me with the download link and instructions for the imager once I confirm the statement. Thank you.

I have an Iomega [redacted] GB external hard drive and a [redacted] iMac desktop, both in perfect condition. The adult videos on the external hard drive have transformed into QuickTime format and are inaccessible. These videos were downloaded between 2[redacted] but have not been viewed since. The Iomega has not been used since [redacted], but I can access only about 20% of the videos - the rest won't open, and I receive a message stating they cannot be opened on my current player. I'm seeking advice on a player available on the App Store that can handle QuickTime videos. I'm hesitant to download any player without guidance. Everything is well-maintained, and the Iomega has been stored in its original box in a temperature-controlled environment. I simply aim to find the appropriate player to view the videos. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Andrew K.

I have two GCS1808i units. The first one was installed successfully and connected to our network through a firewall without any issues. However, the second unit (SN:A1H6-048B5-[redacted]) is not responsive. I involved the network technicians, and after wire-sharking the communications, we found that it works with MAC addresses (layer 2) but fails to respond to ARP requests on layer 3. I attempted to reset it using the jumper which reset the IP configuration but not the users as expected. I updated the firmware on both the network card and main board to version 1.9*, but the problem persists. It seems like this unit might be defective. Please advise if there are any other troubleshooting steps I can take.

I recently purchased a new Mac that uses USB-C and bought USB-C to USB cables to connect my IOMEGA [redacted] HDD, but it's not responding. Even though I followed the advice of a Mac repair specialist and got a USB-C to USB data cable, the hard drive is still not powering up or being recognized. I used to connect it with firewire to my old Mac without any issues. I'm looking for the correct cable and would appreciate seeing a diagram on how to plug it into the IOMEGA drive. I'm not familiar with the technical details like male/female connectors. Apple Store suggested multiple cables for firewire, but shouldn't USB work on its own? Additionally, I noticed a USB2.0 slot at the back of the Iomega drive - could that be a solution and how would I connect it?

I own a Storcenter ix2 [redacted] with valuable data, but I am having trouble accessing it on my Windows 10 system. When trying to map the network drive, I receive an error message stating that the file share is not secure because it requires the obsolete SMB1 protocol and my system requires SMB2 or higher for security reasons. The technical solution provided by Microsoft seems risky. Can you suggest an alternative method to access my data since all folders in the Storcenter application are disabled?

I own an Iomega External Hard Drive with the Part Number [redacted]0 (RPHD-U). I am encountering an issue with accessing the hard drive, even though it used to work fine previously. Following all the correct steps, when I connect the USB cable to my iMac, the indicator light turns green, indicating a connection. However, there is no icon appearing on my desktop to confirm that the External Hard Drive is recognized. A friend suggested that I may need to connect a DC5V power cable for electrical power, but I never received one when I bought the hard drive from PC Richards over a decade ago. I have important documents and music arrangements saved on it, and without access, I would need to scan each chart for all instruments individually. I seek advice on how to proceed with my External Hard Drive.

Hello. I have an Iomega external hard drive that I use for backing up my data. I recently switched computers and noticed my new computer only has one Ethernet cable slot. I haven't downloaded the software yet because I'm unsure which one to download. I want to access my stored files and back up my new computer. Any recommendations? I attempted to connect the external hard drive to my router to access it via WiFi, but I'm unable to locate it.

I recently installed an Iomega Zip drive in my laptop that I bought from a private seller on an online auction site. It came with an Iomega disk drive [redacted]. The system was marked as 'Used' and upon trying to use it, I found an Iomega zip disc inside. How can I remove or eject it? The device appears to be functioning as the Power-on light comes on when I connect it via USB. The 'Help' page mentions checking the device image in Windows Explorer, but I only see OS (C:) and DVD RW Drive (D:) listed under 'This PC'. It seems my laptop might not have recognized the new device yet. Did I miss a step after installation? I followed the installation wizard and clicked 'finish installation'. Since there's no physical eject button on the drive unit, I had to look for instructions in the 'Help' section. Can anyone assist this 80+ year old silver surfer in the U.K.? - Donald C. Bailey

Dear Forum Members, I am facing an issue connecting my iomega eGo external hard drive to my computer. Previously, it worked fine, but now I am unable to connect. The drive is secured with an Iomega code and iomegaEncryptionSetup (v1 c [redacted] - [redacted] Iomega). Usually, upon connection, the application prompts for the code, but currently, it is not displaying the passcode entry page. Despite trying various solutions, I have been unable to resolve the problem. I suspect there may be an issue with the application. I kindly request assistance in resolving this matter promptly as my important files are stored on the hard drive. Best regards, Aadeel
