I am disappointed with Home Advisor. On August 20, [redacted], we were assured a full refund. Despite being told twice that the refund would be processed within 10 to 30 days, today we were informed that we were denied. This inconsistency is unfair. We are only seeking what is just and nothing more. We did not benefit from their services and feel deceived. We insist on receiving our refund as promised.

In March/April [redacted], I hired Genti from Official Construction Inc. to repair my brick steps. Initially, the work was beautiful, and I gave them a great rating. However, by the end of the year or the beginning of Spring [redacted], cracks reappeared. After several messages, Genti finally returned to inspect the cracks and honored the 3-year warranty when shown the paperwork. He later came back to fix the issue but missed a part of the house. When I mentioned this, things took a negative turn, and both of us became unpleasant. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to question why a different cement was used. Despite my 1-star review on Home Advisor, the bricks are now worse, with cracks spreading. With the warranty expiring on 03/30/[redacted], I seek a resolution as I paid $[redacted] for a repair that is failing. I have pictures of the cracks and hope this matter can be addressed promptly. Thank you.

After reading positive reviews, we decided to hire this company; however, our experience has been disappointing. Initially, the representative was knowledgeable and friendly, explaining the dryer issues and promising to order parts with a one-year warranty. Unfortunately, when it came time for the installation, he failed to show up, citing a family emergency. After rescheduling and waiting for hours, he informed me that he couldn't proceed due to the lack of warranty on the parts. This contradiction left me frustrated and looking for another contractor to address the dryer repair.

A couple of years ago, Spring Branch Roofing sealed my mobile home roof. Despite redoing the job due to leaks, the roof still leaked. I gave them a good review initially, but another company eventually replaced the roof, which now no longer leaks. However, I have been receiving constant calls from someone named Adam identifying as Spring Branch Roofing. This behavior is unprofessional. I wanted to make you aware of the kind of companies on your website. I don't want to hear from you, but I thought you should know. Thank you.

I hired an electrician named Dario ESA. He only provided his personal cell phone number, not his office number. I paid over $[redacted] for him to fix my doorbell and install a Ring video doorbell. He only partially installed it and said he'd return once I had the app set up. After I contacted him about finishing the job, he never responded. I had to spend hours on the phone with Ring to complete the installation. I feel cheated and would like a partial refund. He never shared his office details. My contact number is [redacted], and I am Teresa C. Thank you.

W. Joe Bogart, a plumber, requested me to write a review for him on HomeAdvisor. I attempted to do so a month ago, only to realize it was not posted. After being reminded by him yesterday, I made five attempts to submit the review but encountered login issues each time despite following all instructions. I do not use Facebook or Twitter and prefer not to create additional logins. Could you please assist in posting this review for W. Joe Bogart from Goose Creek, SC?
The task of repiping a large 4,[redacted] sq. ft. home required a plumber with exceptional skills and attention to detail. W. Joe Bogart exceeded expectations. His unique approach included replacing copper pipes from the main connection to the house, ensuring thoroughness and quality. He demonstrated care for the property and even suggested improvements like adding a main water cut off closer to the house. Beyond the main job, he attended to other issues, such as replacing float balls in toilets. His professionalism and integrity made me feel at ease throughout the process. Joe was the perfect choice for replacing aged pipes in my beloved home.
Thank you,

A plumber visited my rental unit to provide a free estimate for a small leak under the sink. The plumber estimated about 2 hours for the job. I received an estimate stating that the wall needed to be opened for evaluation, with a rate of $[redacted] per hour, and the job would take 2 to 3 hours. However, I did not receive any follow-up calls from the plumber or the management regarding the options and final estimates. The plumber accidentally locked himself out, requiring our assistance to let him back in. I was charged $[redacted], which I paid by credit card. The next day, the tenant reported no cold water in the main faucet and the hole in the wall was left open. Upon contacting Plumbers Troopers, they mentioned that it is not their responsibility to close walls and provided various reasons for the cold water issue, suggesting additional expenses for a contractor to close the wall. I have disputed the charges as the job was not completed as agreed and additional costs were not previously communicated.

When I signed up, I clearly stated that I work a regular job and only take on side work occasionally on Saturdays. I mentioned that I am not insured or licensed and can only accept homeowner leads near Baltimore. They assured me that it wouldn't be an issue. However, I was charged $[redacted] for leads I couldn't use - they were all for businesses on a larger scale and far from the agreed area. I can't work with them as I'm not insured. Last week, I called and explained everything, and I was promised a refund of $[redacted] for the unusable leads and a half credit on my $[redacted] sign-up fee. None of this has been done, and I'm frustrated. I want my money back and to cancel my membership. This feels like a scam.

I engaged Addario for the installation of a new furnace. The supposed free consultation charged me $[redacted] without any discussion or consultation. The representative was intimidating and demanded 80% payment upfront, which I declined. Upon returning from the hospital, I discovered an overpriced inferior furnace installed while I was away. When addressing the issue to the company, the Addario representative became aggressive and started yelling over the phone. The signature on the paperwork was not valid as my friend, who signed in my absence, lacked the authority to act on my behalf. The Addario employee insisted my friend just scribble something resembling a signature on the document. After realizing I overpaid due to a mistaken duplicate check, the company failed to follow through on promised inspections and maintenance. Their business practices have left me feeling exploited and scammed by this untrustworthy company.

I am not filing any other complaints. I had a case open that I need to be closed as soon as possible. I also need the feedback I have left to be removed. It was for RPM Company, and the gentleman's name is Rodney. His contact number is [redacted]. I am trying to make this right with the company as I do not want him to take legal action against me in civil court. I am a very confused person and do not understand the term "civil." I simply want the complaints and the complaint lifted, to be gone. I believe this is what Rodney wants as well. I had this complaint since December last year, but I forgot about it because I do not want any funds refunded to me. He was paid with a check, which my payee wrote out for him when he visited her home. She does not take care of me, only my finances.

I went online to find local masonry contractors to get estimates for my front porch project. Several contractors contacted me, but none of them spoke English well enough for a clear conversation about my project. I believe that good English skills during phone calls or voicemails are crucial for understanding the task. Thank you for addressing this issue.

I contacted WCA & Son Tree Service, and Will Arrington visited my property on 10-24-19 to discuss cutting down trees in my backyard. We agreed for him to do the job, scheduled for 10-29-19. He postponed to 10-30-19 at 7:30 am, but by 10:00 am, he hadn't shown up or contacted me. I am unable to reach him at the number provided by HomeAdvisor in Pilot Mountain, NC. Can you help me contact him through a different email or phone number? I need to know when the work will start as I want it done before the rain comes and delays it. Please keep me informed. I am Sandra Love-Rolewicz, and recently I was seeking a bonded and insured heating and air conditioner specialist. After not hearing back for several days, I found Patriot Heat & Air in the yellow pages. I contacted them, and they provided me with an estimate.
This morning, Patriot Heat & Air called me, and I am wondering if the fees could be waived since I reached out to them first. I would appreciate it if you could confirm if this is possible. Thank you for your assistance with this matter.

I believe there was a mix-up with my plumbing service. I am located in West Virginia, but the contractor contacted me from Missouri where Clayton, the plumber, is based. Due to this error, I have been without running water for five days. This situation needs to be rectified promptly as we are elderly and require these services. Kindly address this issue immediately or provide a refund. If this matter is not resolved quickly, I will have to escalate it with my credit card company. Please reach out to me as soon as possible.

I scheduled a plumber to arrive at 7:00 AM on 2-10-[redacted]. However, he called today from Missouri and we are in West Virginia. This mistake is on your end, so what actions will be taken to resolve this issue? I don't want you to just take the money and abandon the job. If I don't hear back promptly, I will contact my credit card company. We've been without running water for 6 days and urgently need our toilet fixed, as you promised someone would come today. Please rectify this situation promptly. Thank you.

On 4/19/[redacted], I had a technician work on my kitchen sink, which was draining slowly. The technician finally got it cleared, and the sink was flowing well. However, the next day when I tried draining the sink, it backed up in the disposal sink before going down. The technician, a nice realtor who does side jobs, seemed unsure and took time to figure out how to put it back together. He used a 15 ft. hand snake and mentioned there could be a blockage further down the pipe. I'm unsure what my options are at this point. I've used this technician for other jobs before. I paid $[redacted] for the service, and he was at my place for about two hours. My name is Don L.

I arranged for a house cleaner, Sue's Cleaning, to start last Thursday, but she cancelled and rescheduled for Friday due to a medical procedure. Despite saying she was minutes away, she arrived late at 4:10, causing us to miss our appointment. We decided not to use her services due to her unreliability. I'm sharing this to highlight the negative impact such behavior can have on your company's reputation. We are located in Granger, Indiana, near South Bend.

I hired a residential house cleaner named Sue's Cleaning through Home Advisor in Granger, Indiana [South Bend]. She was scheduled to start cleaning last Thursday at 1:00. However, she texted saying she wasn't feeling well due to a dermatological procedure done the day before and requested to come on Friday at 1:00 instead. She ended up arriving late at 4:15, despite multiple texts claiming she was almost there. Unfortunately, we had to leave for a doctor's appointment and couldn't wait any longer. We informed her we no longer needed her services. This experience was disappointing since we have cleaning limitations and depend on external help. We are now looking for a more reliable cleaner independently.

I was looking for a cleaning service and scheduled an appointment. The cleaner did not show up but I was billed and disputed the charge. After setting up two more appointments, one cleaner did not show, another came but did not clean. We rescheduled for the following Saturday, but another cleaner was sent in place of the original one without notice. Then unexpectedly, a different cleaner arrived on a Sunday and cleaned, billing me more than agreed. I have email evidence of a 15% discount from the initial price. I'm unhappy with this unreliable service and the overcharge. I am seeking a partial refund and wish to cancel the service.

I arranged a service with homeadvisor.com for handyman work on 12/10/[redacted]. The worker they sent was not proficient in English and could not complete the job alone. After sending him away, I was initially charged $19.99 by "[redacted]," affiliated with Home Advisor, which was later refunded. Unexpectedly, on 12/18/[redacted], "pay@home advisor" in New York, NY, debited my bank account for $[redacted].08 without authorization. I have made multiple attempts to resolve this issue to no avail, encountering a frustrating cycle of unhelpful responses. The struggle to reclaim this unauthorized charge has become overwhelming.
