I had a reservation for a mid-size SUV for 7 days at [redacted] E Main Street, Visalia, California. I needed to measure the cargo space for a toy show. The clerk, a young lady, refused to let me, using the excuse that the vehicle might not be in stock. There were many SUVs in inventory, so she should have had one for my reservation. Why would a customer rent a vehicle for 7 days if it might not be large enough? She didn't have a name tag, but she seemed lazy. There were no other customers waiting, so she could have let me measure at least two SUVs, which would have taken just 5 minutes. If HERTZ continues to allow employees to treat customers this way, they will lose business. I will be going to Budget on Burke Street to rent instead. - Jim Mora, reservation # K[redacted].

I need to confirm that my Gold Membership is applied correctly; during my recent trip to Atlanta on October 7-12, it wasn't reflected. I'll be picking up a car tonight at 10:00 pm ET. The agent I communicated with via text was unable to resolve this issue. Each time I pick up a vehicle, I have to manually add my Loyalty account information even though I updated it in my profile.

I am employed by Uber and was directed to their Uber port to rent a Tesla from Hertz for Uber driving. It is my first time trying this and I am facing issues with the rental process delaying my ability to start working. I have been waiting for three days for the vehicle to be registered on the Uber port. I am losing $[redacted] a day due to these delays. I made a reservation and was told last minute that there was no suitable car for me. After reaching out to another location for help, they left me on hold and hung up on me. Eventually, I had to rent a more expensive SUV from a different location. The car had a low tire pressure issue that I had to keep inflating multiple times. Hello, my name is Jesper L. I recently reserved a Hertz rental car for St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada, from August 31st to September 9th. Unfortunately, my computer crashed, and I did not receive a confirmation email for my first booking. I have a van reservation for Friday, December 16th. I attempted twice to validate my identity as per your request. After being notified that my paper driving license couldn't be accepted without a photocard, I uploaded my passport photo and a selfie as instructed. Despite re-uploading my driving license photo today, I received another request to do so again. Unfortunately, since my paper license is old, the print on the back is faded. I rented a car from Dollar at West Palm Beach, FL Airport on September 30, [redacted], and returned it to Fort Myers FL Airport on October 7, [redacted]. The Hertz Damage Claim number is [redacted]4, and the File number is [redacted]9. The issue is that Hertz's records incorrectly show that I rented a Nissan Altima, but I actually rented a Buick Encore SUV. The confusion likely happened at the rental counter when I opted for a larger SUV. I believe this can be clarified by checking the records at Hertz, Fort Myers, FL. I returned the Buick SUV in perfect condition with a quarter tank of gas. Despite being contacted about a damage claim, I received an email stating that no further action is needed. I have witnesses to confirm my rental of the Buick SUV. I am concerned about potential collections due to this error. Hertz needs to address inaccuracies in their paperwork as seen in my case. I rented a Chevrolet Sub-compact utility from Hertz at DTW (Detroit Metro Airport) on 12/11/[redacted] and returned it on 12/13/[redacted] as per Rental Agreement No. [redacted]53. The Hertz staff asked to leave the car with the key upon return. Later, I noticed Hertz charged me an additional $[redacted] for outside washing, explaining it was for cleaning due to a trace of smoke in the car. I disputed this charge with Hertz, stating I have never smoked in my life. I am requesting Hertz to remove the $[redacted] charge from my rental invoice and not to bill my Citi Visa card. I am willing to undergo a health examination to prove my non-smoking history. I seek a prompt resolution to this issue.

On October 15, [redacted], we booked a rental car through Expedia for Bergen, paying a total of €[redacted].22, including taxes and fees. However, we recently received a final invoice that is significantly higher than what we paid. Even adding possible toll and ferry costs, the total should not be as high as stated on the invoice. Additionally, a security deposit of €[redacted].96 (4000NOK) was charged to my wife's credit card and has not been refunded or applied to any toll charges. I kindly request clarification on these discrepancies; otherwise, I will need to consider disputing the payments made to your company.

I made a reservation for an SUV with Hertz, but was given a Honda Accord instead. Despite being told I could swap it at any Hertz location without changing the rate, I couldn't find a corporate location as informed. I reported this on Twitter but only received a vague response. Adding to the frustration, the car was low on washer fluid, and I had to purchase some myself, which was inconvenient. I paid a $[redacted] security deposit for the Lyft rent from Hertz program and picked up the vehicle last Thursday. Unfortunately, the car was not attached to my Lyft account the following day due to an error by a Hertz employee. Now, I have a $[redacted].11 a week rental that I cannot use for Lyft driving. With it being New Year's Eve, I am struggling to reach someone for help as the location is closed. I arranged a rental car for my cousin, Jared, on February 2nd through Priceline. The rental is due to be returned tomorrow, but Jared is facing a family emergency that will prevent him from returning it in person. To accommodate this, we have secured an additional rental agreement through Priceline that extends from tomorrow, February 10th (when the original rental ends), until February 20th. Given the circumstances, could Jared keep the same car until the 20th and return it then, since we have already paid for the extended rental period (2/10-2/20)?

I rented a car through the Uber marketplace selecting an Uber XL for its capacity to accommodate 7 passengers, however, I was given a 5 passenger SUV. The vehicle, a Hyundai Venue, lacks sufficient legroom for comfort. The location where I rented the car is an auto repair shop, and they mentioned not having any 7 passenger cars available, only SUVs. I have tried contacting both the store and a provided number but have been unable to reach a satisfactory resolution. I have called the Hertz locations at [redacted] West Genesee Street and [redacted] Burnet Avenue in Syracuse, NY multiple times without any response for over 2 hours. I am hoping to resolve this matter promptly as driving back during store hours is challenging due to my home daycare responsibilities.

Upon picking up the car at Fort Lauderdale Airport today, I noticed a small ding on the side of the vehicle. After arriving at my destination, I saw a pink circle drawn around the ding and wanted to report it to the Hertz desk to avoid being held responsible upon returning the car. Despite my attempts to contact them multiple times, I was unable to get through and only managed to speak to an accident report representative. We were in an accident on February 9th at Miami Airport. The situation was reported at the counter, and a form was filled out by one of your staff members. The vehicle was impounded, and we continue to incur daily rental charges for it. After contacting the tow yard where the vehicle is held, I was informed that the rental company has not retrieved it. Upon speaking with a roadside specialist, a claim was created, and I was provided with a claim number. I believe that charges accrued after reporting the accident on February 10th should not be my responsibility. I am seeking clarification on when the daily billing will cease and if I will receive a refund for the additional charges. Thank you.

I rented a car in Los Angeles starting on Feb 9th for 9 days. When I was at the counter, the lady tried to deny me the rental, claiming my French driver's license was not compliant. Despite my license being valid for a lifetime and perfectly readable, she raised concerns. I found it frustrating that she insisted it was an issue. Hello. As a gold member, my recent experience at Orlando Airport with Hertz was very disappointing. A case number has been opened for us: [redacted]. We collected our SUV in Spokane on February 25th for our ski trip to Canada. Although we originally reserved a Suburban, the agent suggested an "Upgrade" for an extra charge, claiming it was a newer model from [redacted]. As we drove north in a snowstorm, we realized the car had 37,[redacted] miles on it and appeared to have its original tires, which were unsafe due to low tread. After contacting Hertz, we were given conflicting information about getting the tires replaced, including driving the car back to Spokane ourselves or driving to pick it up after it was towed. Despite numerous calls to resolve the situation, it has been a frustrating and time-consuming experience, ultimately spoiling our vacation plans. As a Centurion Amex member, I will inform them of my dissatisfaction and consider using Turo in the future if this issue isn't resolved promptly.
