I recently flew from Addis Ababa to Cape Town with a layover in Johannesburg on December 23rd. Unfortunately, upon arrival in Cape Town, our luggage was missing. We were under the impression that our bags should have been transferred in Johannesburg, as we had checked in there, and our itinerary indicated the bags would arrive in Cape Town. We waited for two hours until we were informed that Ethiopia Airlines would reach out to us as no one in Johannesburg was responding. It has been two days, and we still have no information on our bags. Our flight numbers were ET808 and SA353, and the PNR for our bags is XQNXBR. Despite multiple attempts to call, we have not received any answers. Thank you.

Hello, my name is Kehinde Olumide Olashile and my reservation code is LSJSBFf. I had booked a flight from Lagos to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for June 6th, but due to personal issues, I needed to change the departure date. I paid online for the date change, but unfortunately, the change was not processed by the company. Upon visiting a local office, I was asked to pay an additional fee of [redacted], plus I was given a payment form with the number [redacted]. After paying the extra amount, I was assured that the initial payment would be refunded within 7 working days. However, it has been over 3 weeks, and I have not received the refund despite multiple emails sent with no response. I would appreciate assistance in expediting the process to get my money refunded promptly.

I am writing with a heavy heart and tears in my eyes. I recently made flight bookings from Nigeria to Fiji with Ethiopia Airline and Korean Airline. My journey was supposed to start on March 17, [redacted]. Ethiopia Airline was to take me from Nigeria to Dubai, and Korean Airline was to fly me to Fiji with a stopover at Seoul Incheon Airport, South Korea. Before booking, I confirmed with the Korean embassy that I did not need a transit visa for my layover in Korea as long as it was less than 24 hours and I did not leave the airport or go through immigration. Unfortunately, on the day of my flight from Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos, I was denied boarding by a staff member who misinterpreted the transit visa rules. Despite my efforts to explain, I was unable to board. After carefully reviewing the rules with my lawyer, it became clear that the airline staff had misunderstood the guidelines. I have rebooked my flight, incurred additional expenses, and reissued my Dubai visa because of this incident. I believe I am entitled to compensation.

I will be traveling to Ethiopia at the end of this month or in early August. I haven't decided on the exact date yet. I am Ethiopian and will be flying from Shanghai to Addis Ababa. I have a small dog weighing around 3.4 kg. I have all her medical records and necessary documents. I have read that it's possible to travel with a pet and would like more information on how to proceed. I am about to purchase my ticket but want to know the requirements for traveling with my dog, where to pay for her ticket, and any other important details. I would appreciate a prompt response as I plan to leave soon and am just waiting on this information to buy my ticket. Thank you in advance.

I traveled on 1/1/[redacted] from Heathrow to Addis Ababa on ET [redacted]. I was disappointed with the flight attendant's attitude. Firstly, how she served the meals was unacceptable; she seemed to throw them on our trays. Secondly, as a Muslim, we like to offer prayers during the flight. We usually ask for permission, which is always granted, and it only takes about 5 minutes. This is not my first time flying with Ethiopian Airlines; we fly with them once or twice a year, and I have never encountered this kind of behavior from a flight attendant before. I was upset by the way she served the meal and her refusal to let us offer our prayers. She insisted that we pray at our seats, which was a departure from previous experiences. Thank you, S. Mahomed

My brother and I were returning from Addis to Frankfurt on January 18th on FLT [redacted] after a two-week stay in Addis, which we consider our second home as Eritreans. Unfortunately, when we reached the gate of the plane, someone named Stenukhal from passport control prevented my brother from boarding. He was taken to Bole Airport underground and was not provided with any food or information for one day, and on the second day, due to an Ethiopian festival, he still had no information. I take full responsibility for my brother; we were together in Addis. Stenukhal prevented my brother from entering Addis two weeks ago. My brother's full name is Mr. Yemane Samuel, ticket number [redacted][redacted], and his current telephone number is [redacted]. Please, I am eagerly awaiting a quick response and solutions. You can reach me via email or telephone at [redacted][redacted].

Hello, I wanted to share that my flight ET0315 from Asmara, Eritrea to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on May 4, [redacted], at 6:10 pm has been canceled due to COVID-19. My final destination is Stockholm, Sweden, with flight number ET0714 from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to Stockholm on May 4, [redacted], which was rescheduled to depart at 11:40 pm on May 5, [redacted], and arrive on May 6, [redacted], at 6:40 am. Due to all flights from Eritrea being canceled, it seems impossible for me to catch my flight from Ethiopia. I have received an email instructing me to contact Ethiopian Airlines for updates. I flew from Nigeria to St. Vincent and the Grenadines on February 28, [redacted], and had a return flight scheduled for August 28, [redacted]. In March of this year, I was required to book a return flight even though I explained that I would not need to return due to my marriage and pending permanent residency status in my husband's country. Despite not wanting to book the return ticket, I did so to avoid missing my flight, opting to pay in cash. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, I was unable to use the ticket and requested a refund from the airline. However, I was informed that cash payments are not eligible for refunds. The airline now states that I can use the ticket until December, but I am puzzled as to why I would need to pay additional fees. It seems unfair that I was initially forced to book and pay for the ticket against my wishes and am now being asked to pay more. I simply want to know how to use the existing ticket without incurring extra costs.

I had booked an Ethiopian Airlines flight from New Delhi to Abuja on March 31, [redacted], using booking reference GRPWAD. To avoid check-in delays, I purchased 23 kg of extra baggage for 19,[redacted] rupees through the Ethiopian Airlines website. I made the payment using UPI through the Paytm app connected to my Canara Bank account (Account number: [redacted]). The UPI reference number for the payment was [redacted]19, and it was confirmed by Paytm with the UPI ID: ethiopianairlines.bd@sbi. Upon arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport, I presented the receipt from Paytm, but the staff were unable to verify my payment, so I had to pay for the extra baggage again at the airport. I am seeking confirmation of receipt of my payment by Ethiopian Airlines and a full refund of the amount paid.

I am an Indian student who has gained admission to a Canadian university with the semester starting on May 2, [redacted]. I have booked a ticket from Delhi to Toronto for April 23, [redacted], with Ethiopian Airlines (PNR no. HMWRRJ), but due to delays in getting my study visa, I have applied for a deferral to the September [redacted] intake and need to rebook my flight for August 18, [redacted]. I am in contact with Mr. Kirubel, the Sales & Airport Manager in Delhi, who is assisting me, but we haven't found a solution yet. I have also reached out to the Ethiopian Airlines outsourcing agency in Delhi, but they can only help once I have my visa. Despite trying the airline's toll-free number, I was directed to initiate an exchange online, which I am encountering difficulties with, possibly due to a price difference. I am willing to pay the fare difference but haven't found the right avenue to do so.

I missed my flight due to a delay caused by airport agents in Cairo on 07/31/[redacted]. I left the airport without my luggage, only carrying my passport since the agents had retained the tag. Customer service provided me with the tag code for my luggage, confirming it was in Lagos, my final destination. I need my luggage to be sent back to Cairo promptly as I now need to change my destination.
