I would like to lodge a formal complaint concerning your customer service. I am also seeking information regarding the ombudsman responsible for overseeing Curry's. Approximately two weeks ago, I attempted to log in to my Curry's account, but it failed to recognize my login credentials. Despite changing my password, I still could not access my account. When attempting to re-register, it acknowledged my email address but prevented me from completing the registration process. My repeated calls to customer service have been unsuccessful, with instances of calls being disconnected and being transferred to unhelpful departments. Despite assurances from three different individuals that a manager would contact me by the end of the day, I have not received any communication. I have meticulously documented all phone calls and this email as evidence of my efforts to seek assistance. I am perplexed by the lack of resolution for what appears to be a straightforward matter requiring IT intervention. Any forthcoming response should also include comprehensive details about the ombudsman, as I am compelled to escalate this issue further. My reference for the complaint is: CC[redacted]. I have been receiving daily competition emails for the past week from what appears to be Currys PC World in partnership with Dyson. Each email contains a different USA address, which seems suspicious. Although I cannot forward the emails to you, I unsubscribed after the first one and have been deleting the subsequent ones. The main focus of the emails is to answer a question, potentially for a Dyson vacuum prize. However, I have refrained from opening them due to concerns about potential viruses. I suspect that providing personal information would be necessary to claim any prize. I believe it's important to investigate these emails further as they could be fake, and many customers, like myself, might have received them. Hello, I placed an order for a refrigerator/freezer and a stove with installation service for the stove. During the installation, the technician informed me that my earth wire did not pass the ZS test, scoring around 3.7 instead of the required 1. I was promised a refund of £75 for the failed installation, which I have yet to receive even though the website states it should take up to 14 days. When I hired a private electrician to install it, the ZS test showed a score of 0.59 (picture attached), indicating it did pass. I had to pay an additional £96 for this service. I am requesting a refund of the initial £75 and an extra £21 to cover the time and money spent trying to get the cooker installed due to the initial error. I purchased a chest freezer at your Croydon branch last Friday. I asked them to place it in my car. However, when I reached my friend's place in Walton on Thames and tried to unload it, I discovered that Currys had put a fridge freezer in my car instead of the chest freezer. After contacting customer services, they agreed to exchange the product, but I had to return to Croydon, resulting in a wasted 3 hours and petrol. I was promised an email regarding compensation for the inconvenience, but it's been a week since the incident with no response. I find this behavior unacceptable. Please, could someone assist me with this matter?

I've been attempting to locate a webchat feature with Curry's to inquire about ordering the Essentials C17MB20 Solo Microwave - Black. However, I'm unable to find a Customer Service link to do so. Dear Sir/Madam, On April 6th, I placed an order for a dishwasher with delivery scheduled for April 10th. The reference numbers for my order are CUR[redacted] and delivery reference [redacted]. Today, the delivery person called me around 11 am, stating they would arrive in 30-40 minutes. However, at approximately 11:30 am, they admitted to being at the wrong address. Interestingly, this same mishap occurred seven years ago when a fridge freezer was delivered to the wrong address for my housebound parents. Despite living nearby, the delivery person refused to bring the dishwasher to my address, instructing me to contact customer service for a delivery on April 11th. After hours of trying to resolve the issue both by phone and online, I remain without my appliance and uncertain of when it will arrive. As a retired individual with health challenges, dealing with this situation has been incredibly stressful. I encountered significant issues trying to place an order for a TV today with order number CUR[redacted]. Despite multiple attempts on the Curry's website, I faced obstacles after reaching the basket due to site problems. Switching to my smartphone, I spoke with several agents, trying to leverage the ROKU10TV code to purchase the TV for £10 more. The total came to £[redacted], but after providing my card details, the screen froze, and the agents I spoke to did not reconnect after taking my phone number. The last agent offered a contact number at [redacted]4 for resuming the order. Eventually, I succeeded in purchasing via PayPal without applying the ROKU10TV code for the £10 offer. I have been a loyal customer at Dixons Curry's and PC World for years and hope to either collect the ROKU from the Ayr branch or pay £10 for delivery alongside the TV on Tuesday for a relative's gift. I contacted Currys on 20/03/21 regarding my grandson's new HP Chromebook performance issues. I purchased the Chromebook on 26/12/20, but we only set it up on 20/03/21 when my grandson came home from RAF Halton. He found the performance lacking, so I called the Helpline at [redacted]0 and spoke with Omar about the connectivity speed problems. Although Omar provided tips via email to enhance the performance, they were ineffective. After notifying them of this via email, a lady called to arrange for the Chromebook to be tested. Despite my desire for a refund due to the delay caused by my grandson's RAF duties during the lockdown, they insisted on testing it. Following the test, when I requested a report, I was told it couldn't be provided due to data protection and would be sent by post in 2-3 weeks. This delay hinders my ability to claim a refund on my credit card. I am seeking a £[redacted] refund from Currys along with a detailed test report.

I purchased a Logik 90W HP power adapter on 24/12/[redacted] at your store based on the recommendation of Assistant 16 Farah. Unfortunately, the power lead was not compatible with my husband's laptop, so he had to buy a different one urgently for a medical consultation. When he tried to exchange the original one, he was told it couldn't be done since it was purchased on my card. Due to lockdown restrictions, we couldn't return the item promptly. Today, when I tried to get a refund, I was refused. I've kept the power lead unused and in its original packaging. I am disappointed with the poor customer service and just want a refund of £39.99. I don't want a credit note or exchange, just a refund as the item was not suitable.

Dear Sir/Madam, I opted to shop at a local Currys/PCWorld in Guildford last Wednesday to purchase a MacBook Pro and additional services. The item had to be ordered and was supposed to be ready for pickup on Saturday. However, there was a mix-up with the appointment date and the device had not arrived due to a delivery delay. Despite assurances, the issue persisted, leading to further inconvenience. When I finally collected the laptop today, it was a cumbersome process involving walking it from one section of the store to another. I am disappointed with the service and lack of priority treatment or discount offered for the inconvenience. On June 5, [redacted], I bought a JVC 40-inch TV online from the Hamilton store. Upon unpacking, I found the stand screws were missing. Trying to reach customer service led me to automated messages, followed by being told the system was down with a promise for a call back which never happened. Frustrated, I drove back the 25 miles to the store. The TV was promptly replaced, but the whole experience with your customer service was extremely disappointing. It was one of the worst interactions I've encountered, and it has deterred me from engaging with Currys in the future, whether online or in person.

I sent my broken laptop to Currys for repairs as it wasn't charging. Their response was that the charging port was broken due to user damage and they wouldn't cover it. Seeking a second opinion from a private shop, they stated the issue was actually a manufacturing fault. The laptop wasn't even inspected as the seal on the screws was intact. This laptop was a Christmas present for my daughter, and this experience has been frustrating. I've decided to not use Currys in the future and pursue further action. The delivery person who collected the laptop mentioned chargers often go missing, but I received mine back untouched, indicating a lack of proper inspection due to workload and COVID-19 excuses.

Subject: Poor Service Experience with Currys - Refund Requested Dear Mr. Baldock, I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service provided by Currys regarding a recent washing machine purchase for my 85-year-old mother-in-law. We selected Currys for its known reputation and paid for installation, expecting a smooth transaction. Unfortunately, the washing machine malfunctioned immediately upon use, leaving the door locked and unusable. Despite reaching out for assistance, we were met with a disappointing response from the service team. We were informed of additional fees for a call-out and re-installation, despite the machine being originally installed by Currys. After multiple attempts to seek help through different channels, the lack of efficient support from Currys has been frustrating. We strongly believe that the responsibility for addressing this issue lies with Currys and not Indesit. The subpar customer service experience has left us feeling unduly burdened. I am requesting a full refund of the extra charges paid for collection and installation, as well as for the washing machine itself. We recently purchased a Logik American fridge freezer from Curry’s website. It was delivered on Monday, May 17, [redacted], and initially, we were satisfied with it. However, after noticing that items in the fridge were getting excessively cold, we adjusted the temperature from setting 6 to the highest at 8. Unexpectedly, last night on Tuesday, May 18, we were startled awake by a loud bang. Upon investigation, we found that a tin of cola had frozen and exploded, leaving the fridge covered in spilled cola. We are worried that this incident may have caused damage to the appliance, although it still appears to be functioning and freezing other items. We are requesting a replacement for the fridge freezer, either the same model if we can be assured that this issue will not reoccur, or a more dependable brand. I bought a Beko Harvestfresh Fridge/Freezer on May 10, [redacted], and it was delivered on May 12. Upon using the water dispenser, it leaked behind the lever on the door. I contacted them on May 13, and after multiple calls, they are sending a part for me to fit or an engineer will come on May 21. They mentioned I might be charged £55 if there is no manufacturer fault, which I disagreed with since the appliance is less than a week old. When I called Curry's, they said the Care and Repair insurance doesn't apply since the appliance is under the manufacturer's guarantee. I want a replacement as it's not acceptable for issues to arise in the first week. I need this resolved promptly and explained clearly to me.

My 89-year-old mother purchased a Kenwood KMD60X19 fridge/freezer online. However, upon arrival, both freezer drawers were missing their clear plastic covers that help retain cold air and provide visibility. After contacting customer service, she was offered a £30 discount to purchase the missing covers, but she has been unable to obtain them. I am interested in purchasing an extended warranty for my new dishwasher. I reside in Ireland, which seems to be causing an issue with your process. After purchasing a Bosch dishwasher from your website on 18/5/[redacted], I have been attempting to obtain an extended warranty without success. Each time I try, I am redirected to a UK site which does not accept Irish addresses. I am disappointed with the service from Currys as an Irish customer. If you cater to Irish customers, you must provide the same level of service as you do for UK customers. I am eager to buy an extended warranty for my dishwasher and would like to know how this issue will be addressed.

I received three renewal notices for my care and repair plan. On April 24th, I made a payment of £62 via debit card, which has not been reflected in my plan renewal. After paying an additional £40 today for renewal, I was instructed to reach out for a refund of the initial £62 payment.
