I have been trying to determine the status of my refund since I have not had any employees since [redacted]. Despite being given various phone numbers and contacts to reach out to, each time I call, I end up waiting on hold for 20 to 30 minutes with no resolution or being redirected to another number. The most recent number provided was [redacted], but it seems to only lead to a recorded voice loop. Despite the option to press zero to speak with a representative, it just loops back to the voicemail. I am concerned about the lien placed on my property for employees in [redacted] and [redacted], even though I retired in June [redacted] and have not had any employees since then. I have submitted the required DE 1-1 form to the Employment Development Department three times, with the latest being on 10/24/[redacted], but have not received a response. How can I get in touch with a representative from the Employment Development Department for clarification on this issue?

Due to the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent closure of your son's school, I made the decision to temporarily leave my job in March [redacted] to provide care and support for my autistic child. The plan was to return to work in the summer, but the lack of available childcare due to my son's father's demanding work schedule made it impossible. Even though I actively sought employment after my son was able to attend school in person again in August [redacted] and stopped receiving unemployment benefits, I recently received notice that I am ineligible for benefits starting in April [redacted] due to a code section. I discussed my situation during a phone interview with an EDD employee and at an appeal hearing with a judge in January [redacted], reiterating the challenges I faced. I am now uncertain about why I am being disqualified and worried about potential benefit repayment. Despite repeated attempts, I have been unable to speak directly with someone at the EDD to address these concerns.

Today is my upload document deadline, but unfortunately, I am unable to locate the required documents. With challenges finding work during the pandemic due to my limitations from partial disability, I have diligently attempted to secure employment. Despite facing obstacles, I chose not to opt for disability in [redacted], believing I could still engage in limited work. At the age of 64, having never previously received unemployment benefits, I am navigating unfamiliar territory. I possess a business plan without a license, holding onto hope of finding work before formalizing the business. Presently, I am dedicated to studying for a Class A driver's license to operate a truck, expanding my job opportunities. My attempts to discuss my circumstances with a representative have been unsuccessful, and I am seeking guidance on how to proceed effectively. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

I recently discovered someone fraudulently claimed my EDD benefits. Despite filing a claim that was not initially approved and reopening it without success, EDD customer service assured me that the funds would be returned within a few business days of my initial claim. Prior to this, I had no access to my EDD account, did not have the EDD card, and never received any funds. EDD admitted the fraud was evident as the first card, ordered by the imposter, was sent to an address completely different from mine, nowhere near my actual residence or mailing address.

I reported a fraudulent check that was issued to me, and after filling out a form and sending it back, I never heard back. After following up, they claimed they never received the form and sent me a new one. I complied and sent it back, but now I am once again in the dark about the status. During a recent call, they mentioned needing the form again, which is frustrating as I've already submitted it twice. It has been a year, and I need resolution on this matter promptly. I am eager to receive the check that is rightfully mine.

I have a query about my upcoming maternity leave. I am planning to start my SDI maternity leave on May 30th, with my due date set for June 17th. Following that, I will continue on SDI for 6-8 weeks. My concern is regarding my eligibility for PFL once my SDI ends. I recently changed jobs and have been with my current employer since March [redacted]. My base period for PFL calculations falls from December [redacted] to the start of my leave (5-18 months). During November and December [redacted], I was unemployed for only 2 months within the base period. Before this, I had been steadily contributing to SDI with my previous employer for 2 years. I understand that I need to provide my current employer's details for PFL, but since it's a different company from my base period employer, will this impact my eligibility? Also, considering I was briefly unemployed at the start of the base period, will this affect my qualification for PFL? I have read varying information online about employment hours required, but the EDD site mentions being employed when the family leave commences. Could you please clarify my situation so I can plan accordingly?

I have been attempting to access the remaining balance of my Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) funds, but my Bank of America (BofA) account is closed due to the initial freeze during the pandemic. After a month of back-and-forth communication between EDD and BofA, I am still without a clear solution. The runaround between the companies has led to my family losing our home and storage unit, leaving us on the streets without money or transportation. When speaking with EDD, I was unable to access my UI online account, and while trying to verify my identity over the phone, I was abruptly disconnected when I couldn't recall the exact date I filed my claim. This treatment was distressing given our current dire situation. I am reaching out for help as my children and I are facing homelessness in extreme heat with no resources left. Your assistance in resolving this matter is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your attention and support in advance.

I applied for unemployment benefits in January [redacted], but then became employed before receiving funds. I did not disclose my employment status during the time I was receiving assistance, thinking it was to make up for the initial delay. However, I was recently let go from my job in March this year and now need unemployment support again. Due to not reporting my job while receiving benefits previously, the EDD is now delaying my eligibility determination, requiring a third interview. It's been 4 months since I first applied, and they have yet to schedule this crucial meeting. Despite being informed I was approved on April 1st, I still haven't received any updates from the EDD office. Assistance from EDD staff has not been helpful, as they keep advising me to wait for this pending appointment.

I urgently need to verify my address with the Employment Development Department (EDD). I received emails from EDD asking for address verification documents, but my submission was rejected as it contained the wrong information. Despite moving within the same building from unit [redacted] to [redacted] and finally to [redacted] at [redacted] Haas Ave., I mistakenly submitted a P.G.E. bill with unit [redacted] listed instead of [redacted]. After clarifying with P.G.E., they admitted the mistake. Although I uploaded identity documents successfully, EDD requires address verification specifically, and now I am unable to access benefits or certify. My EDD Customer Account Number is [redacted]. Any guidance to rectify this situation promptly would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Vincent.

I am currently experiencing difficulties receiving my workers' compensation supplemental income due to issues with mail delivery at the homeless shelter where I reside. This has led to significant financial strain, including losing my shelter, car insurance, and family storage. As a cancer survivor, my health is deteriorating from living in my car for over 80 days without proper access to food and water. I urgently need my back pay to support my family who is currently struggling to make ends meet. I kindly request assistance in expediting my payments as the delays in receiving mail at the shelter have caused me to lose critical resources. I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter as I navigate this challenging situation.

I signed up for Unemployment benefits in California after being laid off on 10/7. I got a message from EDD, one of which is a 'Notice of Unemployment Insurance Award' clarifying that it's not a final decision on my eligibility. I created an online account and have questions: 1. When will I start receiving unemployment payments? 2. Will I get a clear approval confirmation? 3. Will the payments be automatically deposited to the EDD card without any additional steps? 4. I see a notice in my portal to "certify for benefits" (weeks of 10/9 - 10/15) --> Should I complete this before final approval? Thank you for your assistance!

In [redacted], I applied for maternity leave through EDD using a Hotmail email address. By [redacted], my Hotmail account had issues, so I stopped using it. Now, in [redacted], I need to apply for unemployment, but EDD sends password reset emails to my inactive Hotmail account. Despite contacting Microsoft/Hotmail Support, they only advise me to create a new email address. How can I update my email on file with EDD to my current Gmail address?

I have had a claim open since August 12th with Swissport due to being forced to resign because of my arthritis and edema disabilities. The management at Swissport required a full release of my doctor's note to return to work, and did not believe that I couldn't work on the weekend of August 6th and 7th due to the delayed delivery of the note from the hospital. I applied for unemployment on August 12th but have not received any communication from EDD regarding my dismissal from Swissport. My claim is being held by ID-ME. I have faced two disabilities this year - COVID-19 from January 17th to February 23rd, and arthritis with edema from July 15th to August 9th. I returned to work on August 10th and was discharged on August 11th. I am in urgent need of my benefits to pay my bills. I have paid for these benefits through my previous employers, and have not applied for or worked at the restaurant in Livermore referenced by EDD. Thank you.

I believe I registered some time ago to open a claim, but I'm currently going through a divorce and no longer have access to that email. I tried creating a new account with a different Gmail, but it seems I now have duplicate accounts and can't access either. I visited the office, but the staff there didn't offer much assistance beyond telling me to fill out paperwork, which I fear won't solve the issue. I find it frustrating that I'm unable to resolve this situation. Could you please assist me since I have a genuine case, especially considering my recent back surgery has left me in a difficult state. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, T.J. Clark

I have been waiting for payment from EDD for the months of August [redacted] through January [redacted] for over 2 years now. In October [redacted], six checks were authorized and sent out, but I never received them. I completed and returned the Sworn Declaration as requested, which EDD confirmed receiving on November 17, [redacted]. However, the re-issued checks have not been sent to me yet. I am unsure why there has been such a delay in this process.

I received a notification from Bank of America but haven't heard anything from the EDD regarding my benefits. Despite my appeals being retroactive, I haven't received a replacement EDD card. When I contacted Bank of America, they informed me that my card is closed. I've submitted all the required identification proofs, but without my account number, I can't make progress online. I've been trying to reach out to the EDD for over a month but haven't been successful. It's frustrating that I can't speak to anyone in person to resolve this issue, especially when so many other services are available face-to-face. It seems essential government offices, including EDD, should be open for in-person meetings, just like grocery stores and restaurants.

I recently lost my job at Amazon and am now trying to apply for EDD online, but it's saying I haven't worked enough to file a new claim. I worked at Amazon for almost 7 months and earned over $[redacted] a week at times, so I believe I should qualify. I have been calling every day as instructed, but I keep getting the runaround. As a single mom of three, this process is proving to be much more difficult than I anticipated. I really need to open a new claim for unemployment benefits. How should I proceed given my situation?

I recently completed the reassessment form as instructed. After months of waiting, the form was finally accessible last week. Following submission, I was informed by an EDD representative that my payments would be released. However, upon receiving my payment, I noticed discrepancies. My weekly benefit of $[redacted] was paid as $[redacted], and the additional $[redacted] for PUA was missing. Despite several attempts, I have been unsuccessful in reaching anyone via phone. I am seeking assistance in rectifying these payment errors.

I need help updating my contact information for my state unemployment benefits application. My phone was stolen, so I no longer have access to the phone number and email address on file with the unemployment office. The last representative I spoke to abruptly ended the call without addressing my concerns. I would appreciate assistance in updating my information to continue receiving my benefits.

I am Vance S., a California licensed physician assistant with CA License #: PA12427. In the past, I approved disability payments while working for Dr. Thomas Curtis in Van Nuys from [redacted] to [redacted]. I have recently started working in Newport Beach, CA, and need to establish a new practitioner account. I have encountered difficulties setting up the account and want to ensure it is separate from any previous disability claims of my own. You can reach me at [redacted] or [redacted] for further assistance.
