I have an open disability claim, and I was expecting a payment today, 12/15. However, I did not receive it because I need to complete a continuing claim form. Despite having an online account with SDI, I never received the form in my inbox. I called twice today, and I received conflicting responses. First, I called at 8:46 and was told the form would be in my inbox in 2 hours, which did not happen. I called back around 1:30 and was informed that it would take 24 hours for the form to arrive. I am unsure of whom or what to believe. I urgently need the payment as my last one was on 12/1. My claim number is DI-[redacted]-[redacted]-[redacted].

I am receiving SDI for mental health issues. I have been trying to contact the SDI office multiple times without success. I submitted a DE [redacted] form to extend my benefits, but I have not been able to reach anyone via phone, mail, or fax. My benefits are now over a week late, and I am extremely stressed about the situation. I even broke my laptop out of frustration and had to call my therapist for support. I was informed that if the form is not received within 20 days, my benefits will be canceled, and that deadline is only 2 days away. I am feeling overwhelmed and unsure of what steps to take next.

I need to speak with an SDI agent regarding my disability claim. I filed on 10/27 but have not received payment yet. There have been delays in processing my claim due to issues with a previous claim for a hysterectomy. I was initially told I could combine the two claims, but this turned out not to be the case. It took some time to rectify this with my doctor's office providing incorrect information. I am worried about the appeal process taking another two weeks. I also need to understand how to request an extension as my procedure has been rescheduled, affecting my return to work date. Despite numerous attempts to contact EDD via phone and email, I have not been able to get through to a person or receive a helpful response. I am feeling frustrated and in need of assistance.

My most recent disability payment covered November 25th to November 29th. Since then, I have not received any further payments. My disability extension was submitted on time with all required forms completed by both me and my doctor. I have been unable to reach the Disability Insurance (DI) office by phone. I have also not received an updated Bank of America (B of A) debit card. Could the delay in funds be related to this? I am unsure of what steps to take next and who to contact regarding the EDD offices overseeing this. I am considering visiting an EDD office in person, but I am uncertain if they are currently open. It has been challenging to get information as no one is answering the phone and after navigating through multiple prompts, the system indicates they are no longer accepting calls.

Hello, I am reaching out to SDI to inquire about the delay in processing my SDI claim. I have been waiting for a response since I submitted my application in October [redacted]. My last day of work was on August 12, [redacted], and I assumed my employer would take care of everything. I have not been out of work since I gave birth in [redacted], so I am unfamiliar with the process. I am currently experiencing mental health difficulties and I am worried about my ability to cope with any further delays. With Christmas approaching this Saturday, I am feeling very strained as I have nothing prepared. I would greatly appreciate any assistance you can offer. My account number is [redacted]60.

Dear Support Team, I've been on State Disability since 8/27/21 and received an extension through 1/5/22 as shown on my claim, but I haven't received a payment since 11/16/21. My EDD Disability claim number is DI-[redacted]-[redacted]-[redacted]. I've been attempting to contact EDD for the past 4 weeks, making several calls a day, but I keep getting a message that the maximum number of callers has been reached and to try again later. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, I can't visit any offices in person for assistance. I've also sent multiple messages and confirmed with my doctor that all necessary forms have been submitted. Could you please help me resolve this issue? Today marks the second time in the past two weeks that I've reached out to both my Assemblywoman, Cottie-Petrie Norris, and Congresswoman Katie Porter for assistance, but I haven't heard back from them yet. Thank you, Diane M.

I submitted my benefits application through my doctor on 11/30/21, but when I check the SDI benefits page, I don't see any pending applications. To be safe, I plan to resubmit online. It's possible the application got lost at the doctor's office or is delayed due to the holiday season. My leave began on 11/29/21, nearly a month ago, and I have rent coming up soon.

Hello, I've been on state disability and haven't received any payments since December 12th. The last payment was $[redacted] less than usual, and I'm unsure why it was reduced or why I haven't been paid since. I completed the continued claim form and informed them that my employer paid out my vacation and sick time since they essentially laid me off. Aside from $[redacted] monthly child support, I have no other income and need to pay rent in two days. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

I have been attempting to contact the California State Disability office regarding my ongoing claim. The claim form was sent with tracking to their office. The claim number is DI [redacted] [redacted] [redacted], and my application and medical certificate were received on December 24, [redacted]. Due to my current illness, I urgently require my psychiatric medications, but the claim form seems to be missing in Sacramento. I have been trying to reach someone since 8:10 AM but have been unable to speak with anyone. I am in need of assistance. My contact number is [redacted], and my name is Patricia Hamel.

I have been on disability for almost a year and now need to have surgery. I have been placed off work until February [redacted]. I was receiving checks through auto payments, but I didn't receive my payment on the scheduled day. I visited the website and filled out the requested form, but I am still waiting on my payment. I have been trying to contact them via phone, but the line hangs up on me and says there are too many callers waiting. This situation is very frustrating as I have bills due, no money, and I'm unable to get ahold of anyone for assistance.

After submitting my certification and not receiving payment after 3 weeks, I contacted them last week to clarify what was happening. I was informed by a representative that they sent a letter requesting verification of my CDL, SSN, and [redacted] income proof. Despite not receiving the letter yet, I was told I needed to respond within 10 days of the mailing date. I asked if I could submit electronically, but was told to use the enclosed envelope with the letter. I've tried calling numerous times, feeling physically exhausted after undergoing emergency open heart surgery in July. Despite my health struggles, I must handle this issue to pay my bills. It's disheartening to see fraudulent claims slipping through while individuals like me have to fight for what we are rightfully owed. It's a challenging situation that does not seem reflective of what America stands for.

I would like to bring to your attention an unresolved issue regarding an EDD account that was created without my knowledge. Despite speaking to a representative on December 20, [redacted], who assured me it would be resolved, I have not received any further assistance. I have been diligently trying to reach out every weekday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, to no avail. Today marks January 20, [redacted], which is 30 days since I was promised a follow-up call by the CA State Dis. Your prompt help in addressing this urgent matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your assistance.

I filed a claim on 11-21-[redacted] and have not received any benefits yet. I am a lifelong resident of California and have provided all necessary information to EDD, including medical, personal, and employment details. Despite visiting the DI office on Broadway in Sacramento four times, I have not seen any results. Tomorrow, on 1-28-22, I plan to visit the office again to submit an updated medical extension until 4-23-22, and I have an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon on 2-3-22. I urgently need to receive my benefits to avoid homelessness. I would greatly appreciate any assistance on this matter.

I was involved in a severe accident on 4-10-[redacted] resulting in extensive injuries that required surgery on my arm and have left me with significant nerve damage. I was left unable to walk, reliant on a wheelchair, and incapable of using my arms. Following the accident, my girlfriend assisted me in filing for disability benefits without any response. Subsequently, I took matters into my own hands and re-applied in September but have still not received any updates. As a business owner, my inability to work has caused financial strain, particularly with the conclusion of the PUAEDD assistance. Meeting all the necessary criteria for disability payments, I submitted the required documents completed by both myself and my licensed doctor. Despite my efforts, I have been unsuccessful in reaching a live representative at the disability department due to continuously busy phone lines. My primary concern is supporting my family during this challenging time. Your prompt assistance would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Travis B.

I initiated a claim online and completed my part. However, my primary provider informed me they do not submit their portion online; instead, I had to fill out a paper form. I complied and sent it in. After waiting the specified 14 days for processing, I discovered two claims were on file. The first, which I did online but the doctor didn't complete, and the second, mailed with the doctor's information, was received on January 24, well within the 14-day processing period ending on February 7. Despite efforts to inquire online and through phone calls, no answers regarding the delay have been provided. Disability services mentioned a request for form number [redacted] from my employer that seems to be causing the holdup. Despite multiple attempts, contacting customer service at [redacted] has proven futile as the line is constantly busy. I am frustrated by the lack of information and assistance in resolving this matter promptly.

I am seeking payment from 01/10/22 until now. I have been unable to reach a live Customer Service Agent. Waiting over an hour only to be disconnected or told all available call slots are filled has been a frustrating experience all day long. I have not received payments since 01/10/[redacted]. When I managed to speak with someone, I was told a new form needed to be filled out by the physician, which was done and submitted online repeatedly. Now, the website indicates I need to complete a Continued Claim Certification, but there is no visible link. I have searched extensively. The phone extensions have recently changed, trapping callers in an endless cycle of automated messages. My current claim status requires me to submit the Continued Claim Certification to receive further payments. Last Payment Amount: $1,[redacted].71 Date Authorized: 01-10-[redacted] I was paid up to 01/09/[redacted], not 01/10/22. If anyone can assist, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. I have also sent two emails through their contact system but have yet to receive a response.

I took medical leave from June 1, [redacted], to September 2, [redacted]. I faced challenges reaching EDD. Initially, they sent the wrong form for the doctor, causing delays. Eventually, I received the correct form but faced further delays due to Covid-19 affecting my doctor's office. I appealed after a denial and provided requested documents in December [redacted]. My online account shows a pending DI claim with the form name [redacted] Claim for DI Benefits A. Despite sending the correct documents, I keep receiving confusing letters. Phone calls always go to voicemail due to high call volume. I'm frustrated as I only received one paycheck after being off work for 12 weeks while still paying for DI. I seek guidance on the next steps as I'm unable to access my benefits.

I applied for State Disability Insurance on January 25, [redacted]. My doctor submitted their certification on February 3, [redacted]. After receiving a letter addressed to "Resident/Occupant," I visited the office to verify my address. However, I have not received any benefits or responses to my inquiries. I am facing cut-off notices and experiencing added stress due to the lack of income post-surgery, which is impacting my recovery process.

Since September [redacted], I've been seeking help with this claim. I haven't worked since then and have depleted my savings. Bills are piling up, and I urgently require assistance until I can return to work. My doctor says I'll be off work for 4 to 8 months even with paperwork. Despite numerous calls, I can't reach anyone to guide me through this process effectively. I fear losing everything before I can get back to work. Currently, the only support I have is $[redacted] in CalFresh food stamps monthly. As a hardworking individual, I need assistance urgently. Without paying my car insurance, I can't legally drive to work, cover gas, buy clean clothes, pay the electric, water bills, and rent – essentials to returning to work and regaining independence. I'm at a critical point and desperately seek your help. Thank you for considering my situation and for any assistance you can offer.

I am a social worker in Antelope working with a family facing a crisis. The main provider had a severe motorcycle accident, sustaining multiple injuries including a traumatic brain injury and amnesia. With no income and uncertainty from EDD disability benefits, the family, including a wife and three young children, is struggling. The provider's ability to work in the future is unknown. The family recently bought a home but has no financial support since the accident in February, now approaching April. Their situation is dire, and they urgently need assistance during this challenging time.
