I have attempted numerous times to contact the NC DMV to inquire about my health waiver for my eye sensitivity issues. I have a condition called photoptics, which has resulted in a permanently burned retina. I require window film to be darkened to shield against sunlight during the day and bright halogen headlights at night. I submitted all the necessary forms and doctor's approval but have not received any response. I am concerned about my tag renewal, which is now overdue since July 15th. As I may be relocating out of state in the next 3 to 5 months, I am worried about the implications of not resolving this matter. Despite spending hours on hold trying to speak with someone in the health waiver department, I have not been able to get through. If there is a lack of staff to address these issues, I am uncertain about the consequences. Could it lead to fines or even arrest if I am pulled over by law enforcement? This situation is perplexing, and I would appreciate a timely and human response to my concerns.

On March 28th, I was due to renew my license with registration for lic # 7DRJ169, with a $[redacted] fee. I sent a check in February, but due to a security breach in my bank account, the check bounced and I had to change accounts. Dealing with the pandemic, local office closed, and I was instructed to wait for instructions from the main office. Fearing consequences, I sent a letter with a cashier's check for $[redacted], covering the original fee and late charges. After 45 days, I received a notice demanding immediate payment of the $[redacted], or risk license revocation. I promptly obtained another cashier's check, paid, and restored my account. Surprisingly, on June 12th, I received a refund check of $[redacted], causing confusion. The bank required 90 days to process the refund, and both checks were eventually cashed. My account now shows an overpayment and I await your resolution. The DMV should refund $[redacted] to Stephen O. Jacobs at [redacted] Bay Bridge Drive, Indio CA [redacted]. For further communication, please contact me at my home phone number.

I need to cancel the request to add a parent to the registration of vehicle License Number 8PQJ351 due to incomplete documentation. The initial request was made in March [redacted] to include a parent as a co-registrant for insurance purposes. However, due to the COVID-19 closures, my son, D.M.D., who is the primary registrant, is currently stranded in New Zealand and unable to provide the necessary additional information requested by the local DMV office. As the insurance reasons for the change in registration no longer apply, I would like to cancel the process and maintain the current registration in my son's name only: DAVIS MATTHEW DARRYL.

I was working with Virtual regarding case #[redacted]9. The case was closed without my response, but I did reply to their requests, including sending the "Originals" as requested. Unfortunately, the documents seem to be lost in transit or within the DMV. I have informed the Rush Title Processing team with the necessary details to obtain a duplicate title without the lienholder listed and registration from [redacted] to present. The car has not been driven and is now being sold. I understand the process might be time-consuming, but I am eager for confirmation that the replacement documents are being processed. Help me, please!

I gifted my vehicle to my son but misplaced the pink slip. I've tried twice to get a duplicate from the DMV by submitting forms and payment, but they requested proof of lien satisfaction and a smog certificate, which are not needed for our situation because we paid cash and are family. I sent another request explaining this along with a second payment. Due to Covid restrictions, I couldn't visit the office or reach them by phone. Even though I filed a Release of Liability, I still haven't received the duplicate title for him to register the car, despite having insurance on it.

I am struggling to access pandemic assistance as the DMV's negligence has prevented me from obtaining a new ID after mine was stolen. This has led to difficulties in getting EDD benefits, pandemic help, and opening a bank account. I am considering legal action against the DMV for the suffering and damages I have experienced. I am frustrated with the lack of assistance and the impact this is having on my well-being. I believe the Supreme Court will support my case. I hope for a resolution soon. Thank you.

I went to the DMV in Lincoln Park, CA on October 15, [redacted], to renew my driver's license in person. Unfortunately, I haven't received my license in the mail yet. After numerous attempts to contact them, I finally spoke to a representative in January [redacted]. They mentioned that my testing is incomplete, specifically the Real ID vision test, and that my temporary license expired on December 13, [redacted]. Despite filing two nonreceipt forms in December and January, I never received a response. Due to the COVID-19 situation, I couldn't schedule an appointment or visit a field office. I am unable to renew online and urgently need my license to purchase medical prescriptions. It's been almost a year since my renewal appointment, and I have yet to hear back from the DMV after numerous attempts to resolve this issue. Please assist me in renewing my license promptly.

1. I own three vehicles, all with registrations due in May. On May 3rd, I used eTags.com to pay the fees for all three cars. Unfortunately, I accidentally overpaid for one vehicle. Despite providing evidence of my payment date, I received a delinquent renewal notice with a late penalty. Upon checking my credit card records, I discovered that the payment for one car was rejected without my knowledge. Attempts to reach customer service by phone were unsuccessful. I seek assistance in resolving this issue and request the late fee to be waived for my [redacted] Honda Fit with license plate 6EJV366.
2. As seniors with preexisting conditions, my partner and I have been isolating since March 19th due to COVID-19 concerns. We own two vehicles (Honda 6EJV366 and Mazda 5HGA316) requiring smog certification. Kindly grant us a one-year extension considering our circumstances.

Please note: the DMV has enhanced its customer service in offices and online. Starting February 22, [redacted], the DMV has launched a new and improved online customer account system. If you had a previous online account, you must sign up for a new one. We apologize for the inconvenience.
When attempting to register for a new account, the system indicates that you are already registered. You may be caught in a loop. Several years ago, I registered for online services using my email address, [redacted] However, the system now indicates that my email is in use. Even when I try a different email, I receive a message that I am already registered when inputting my address and license number. It feels like going around in circles. My license expires on 9/30/20.

I have always maintained a perfect driving record. While my license expired because I wasn't driving, I recently had my car stolen and recovered. Strangely, the notice stated my license was suspended. I was due to take my written test before the DMV closure due to COVID-19. I'm confused since my good record doesn't align with a suspension. I haven't committed any driving offenses, so this situation worries me. Any help understanding this would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,

The lien holder is no longer in business, and the car, purchased in [redacted] and paid off long ago, still has their name on the title. The vehicle has not been in operation for some time, and the seller is trying to sell it. The buyer was informed that they cannot transfer or register the car without the lien holder's signature, which is unobtainable. The company listed as the successor of Allstate Enterprises Inc. has no records before [redacted] and does not work with Allstate Enterprises Inc. as it no longer exists.
The seller completed a release of liability form, and the buyer now has the car. However, there is a discrepancy in addresses between the release form and the non-operation form for the vehicle. The seller is unsure which address to use and is seeking guidance on resolving these issues promptly.

Hello,
I recently received my vehicle registration renewal notice. It mentioned I need a smog test from a star station. I checked and saw my last smog test was in July last year. Is there anything I'm missing? Thank you for your attention and have a wonderful day!

Dear Sir,
I am Claudia Y.S. Wong Choi and I shipped my car from Canada to Los Angeles on 04-26-[redacted]. I completed all the registration procedures, but the Lienholder was Royal Bank of Canada at the time, which is why I haven't received the title yet. I cleared the car's payments in June [redacted]. After that, I got a letter from Royal Bank of Canada confirming they no longer have any interest in my vehicle. However, there is no signature on the letter, as required by the DMV. I've tried explaining the situation to them multiple times, but they claim it's a system-generated letter and they can't do anything about it. I've visited the DMV several times regarding this issue, but no one could provide a solution due to conflicting policies. I am seeking advice on how to proceed to obtain my car's title.
Thank you for your assistance.

I attempted to pay my license fee early with an organ donor add-on but faced issues with the credit card fee being over four dollars. I then tried an eCheck, which had a flawed transaction initially. Although I received an email receipt indicating the payment was successful, in mid-March, I was informed the transaction was unsuccessful without any clear reason, implying it was my fault.
I scheduled an appointment at the San Clemente DMV for April 3rd to rectify the situation, but it was canceled last minute. Despite a few setbacks due to a positive Covid test, I eventually sent a cashier's check in early May, which was delivered on May 15th. After contacting the Revenue Unit and making numerous calls, I finally confirmed on June 16th that the payment was received.
I am disappointed by the lack of communication and the need for additional payment. Even though I have settled the fee, I am still being asked for my previously issued license. Given my status as an 'at risk' senior, I hope to resolve this matter without unnecessary public exposure. Thank you.

I mailed a check to the DMV on 8/18/20, but it hasn't cleared yet. I am worried about this situation. My vehicle details are as follows: F150, plate number 6M55367, and the last five digits of the VIN are [redacted]. I have been trying to reach your office for several days but have not been successful. Once I waited on hold for one hour and 17 minutes, only to be disconnected. Another time, the call was terminated due to a full mailbox. Currently, my vehicle has a Planned Non-Operation (PNO) status due to the pandemic affecting its usage. I am unable to make an online payment, so I sent a check for $[redacted] on 8/18/20. I am located in Fremont and would prefer not to visit a field office due to my age and health concerns. I chatted with 'Miles' online from the DMV, and they mentioned waiting for mail regarding my registration in 15 or more days. I hope to get this matter resolved and thank you for your assistance. Sincerely, S. Wang.

I attempted to pay my license fee early and opt for the organ donor add-on, only to encounter payment discrepancies. The credit card fee exceeded four dollars, and the e-check transaction faced issues, despite showing a successful payment receipt via email. Subsequently, in mid-March, I received notice that the transaction was unsuccessful, prompting me to address the matter urgently. Despite scheduling an appointment at the San Clemente DMV, it was unexpectedly canceled. Due to a positive Covid test and subsequent quarantine, I could only send a cashier's check in early May, with confirmation of delivery on May fifteenth. Following numerous phone calls, I eventually confirmed payment receipt on June sixteenth. However, significant frustration arose from the lack of clarity regarding the initial transaction flaw and the ensuing delays and confusion in clearing the payment. Despite resolving the issue, the insistence on paying additional fees and providing the previously issued license felt unwarranted. As a senior at risk, I hoped for a swift resolution without undue exposure. Thank you.

I currently own a [redacted] Toyota Corolla with a California title, and I have been residing in Texas since [redacted]. I need to transfer the title to Texas to sell the car. I submitted the necessary forms along with a copy of the title and my TX driver's license to the California DMV. Unfortunately, I received a handwritten response stating there is no record of my vehicle in California. Additionally, I began filling out the title for a sale that did not go through, leaving me unsure if the title is now void. Despite this confusion, I am the original owner of the vehicle and own it outright. I must locate the car's record before proceeding further. Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

I recently received a notice of suspension claiming I failed to complete a DUI course and have an SR-22, which is inaccurate. I completed the DUI course, obtained an SR-22, and reinstated my license a year and a half ago. Now, I am facing a suspension notification. My lawyer confirmed with the San Jose DMV that all my paperwork is in order and my license is valid. However, the Seaside California DMV sent a notice of suspension. I have been advised to retain my documents for 11 years due to potential mix-ups like this. I need to align the records in San Jose with those of the rest of the DMV to resolve this issue promptly. My contact number is [redacted], and my lawyer is James H. Newhouse. I am Christina Dawn Crumpton, and my driver's license number is D7 40 [redacted]. I possess all the necessary paperwork to rectify this error and prevent further disruptions in my life.

I made an online payment for my registration through the DMV website, only to have it returned after 90 days without any progress from the DMV. I recently received mail stating I owe late fees and penalties for not paying on time, even though I paid before the due date. The DMV didn't process my payment or send my tags, yet they're trying to charge me for being late despite my attempted payment. I sent them a copy of my payment receipt and bank statement as proof of payment, hoping to resolve this issue and receive my registration sticker. However, I continue to receive delinquent renewal and intercept notices without any progress.

I received the title for our [redacted] Mercedes Sprinter tour vehicle (8k84341) at the beginning of September after paying it off. The registration is set to expire on 9/30/[redacted] and requires a smog check. Due to COVID, the vehicle was parked in March and unfortunately suffered $10,[redacted] in damage from rodents. Currently, it is at the dealership awaiting repairs once financial matters are resolved.
I spoke to a DMV technician on Friday and was advised to submit a Non-Operational Notice, which I did along with a $22 payment on Friday 9/25. I am unable to transfer the title until I renew the registration, but I can't renew it without the smog check, which can only be done once the vehicle is fixed.
I am worried about completing the title transfer on time. I seek advice on how to handle this situation. Thank you.
