The following are issues that customers reported to GetHuman about Bumble customer service, archive #3. It includes a selection of 20 issue(s) reported October 14, 2018 onward. If you have a similar customer service issue, this page will help you find current, up-to-date answers and solutions too.
I have tried contacting Bumble multiple times via email, but I have only received an automated response promising a resolution within 48 hours, which has not happened for weeks now. Unauthorized charges of $33.99 for Bumble coins appeared on my account twice, along with ongoing weekly charges of $8.99 when I had only signed up for a one-week subscription. Despite disputing the charges with my credit card company, additional $8.99 charges have occurred. I refuse to pay for these erroneous charges and will be pursuing this matter with the Better Business Bureau. I demand a prompt resolution to this issue and expect someone to address it without further delay.

I am experiencing issues accessing my matches after making a payment. Every time I attempt to access my queue, I am directed back to the billing section, even though it shows that the payment went through multiple times for both one week and one month. I am seeking two resolutions: being able to use the service I paid for and receiving a refund for the duplicate one week charge. I am willing to pay for the one month subscription but need assistance in resolving this matter promptly as my match queue could expire while I try to resolve the problem. I have previously reached out to Bumble via email, as there is no customer service phone number available.

My app has repeatedly failed to notify me of matches or new conversations, causing them to expire before I see them. Today, it happened again with someone I was really interested in. The lack of notifications is frustrating, and now I missed out on a potential connection. I hesitate to spend $30 on a rematch when the app's notifications are unreliable. Can you help by arranging a rematch or allowing me to message the person I missed out on, Ai? I appreciate your assistance with this issue. (Apologies for any typos, I'm using a phone to type this.)

Hello,
I'm John Arundel, a Bumble user. I want to report a scam involving an individual pretending to be Bethany Griffins using the email [redacted] This person is using fake photos to deceive individuals into sending money for sexual services, claiming to be a 21-year-old nursing student in need of tuition assistance. The phone number associated with this scammer is [redacted], but it has been flagged as fraudulent by multiple victims. The scam involves soliciting money through platforms like PayPal and CashApp for intimate services that are never delivered. I have reported this to the authorities and urge Bumble to take action by suspending this fraudulent account to protect others.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
John Arundel

The pay site was not clearly stated upfront, which led to confusion on my end. I have been struggling to cancel the app and keep receiving complicated instructions, including access through the Apple Store, which is challenging due to previous hacking issues. I'm requesting the cancellation of the service as I did not intentionally subscribe multiple times, as indicated by the bill. I had already logged out and removed the app weeks ago. The responses I'm receiving appear to require rejoining or reregistering to cancel, adding to the frustration. The unclear charges being disputed were not authorized by me, and the experience of trying to cancel has been time-consuming and frustrating.

I uninstalled this app months ago. I deactivated my account and removed the app because I never intended to pay or provide my credit card details. The app was supposed to be free, but I started receiving unfair charges, so I deleted it immediately. Despite disputing two of the charges with my bank, I am still being billed. This is unacceptable as I never authorized any charges. I disabled a setting to prevent further charges, yet I am still receiving emails about charges via my Apple ID. I am disappointed and frustrated by this situation. I will have to contact my bank again. This experience has been dreadful, and I will not use or recommend this app in the future.

I used to be a Bumble Boost subscriber but cancelled in September [redacted]. After canceling, I received unauthorized charges on Sep 16, Sep 20, Oct 23, and Nov 20, [redacted]. I contacted iTunes and got a refund for Nov 20. I am requesting confirmation of my cancellation and a refund for the unauthorized charges totaling $74.97 from September and October when I was not using the service. Your prompt attention to this matter and confirmation of the refund would be appreciated. Thank you, Greg R.

Hello! I downloaded Bumble yesterday and successfully logged in without Facebook. However, last night around 11 pm, the app unexpectedly logged me out. Now, when I enter my password, it gets stuck on a loading screen and won't proceed. Despite trying to reset my phone and reinstall the app several times, the issue persists. I'm feeling frustrated, especially since I was having a great conversation with someone special. I have my phone number linked to the app for login purposes, but when I enter my password, it won't go through. Additionally, attempts to reset the password have been unsuccessful. I'm at a loss and unable to access my account. Your assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,
I've been a satisfied user of Bumble for a while now. Being in the Navy means my friends and I move around a lot, and Bumble has been great for meeting new people. Today, I couldn't log in through Facebook or my phone number. I had an argument with another user last night, and I suspect they reported me, resulting in my account being removed without warning. I'm wondering if there's a way to appeal this decision and get my account reinstated. I value the service Bumble provides and would like to continue using it. If possible, please reach out to me via email at [redacted].
Thank you,
T.R. Vigil

I recently downloaded Bumble and created a new account because I couldn’t find my old one (none of my usual emails were allowing me to sign in). When I began swiping on the new account, I saw an ad for a free 14-day trial membership. I clicked on it, expecting a trial, but it immediately charged my credit card $49.99. I assume this happened because I had a trial before on my previous account, but I never received a warning about that! I wouldn't have agreed to the “trial” had I known I would be charged. I don't plan to use the boost and would like a prompt refund. It's frustrating that the ad offered a free trial, yet I was still charged. I've already canceled the subscription, but it appears active until March. Kindly address this matter promptly.

I am expressing my disappointment with your dating site. The format lacks the ability to select age groups, specific distances for matches, or even preferences for connecting with specific races. Additionally, the limited daily selection of possibly three or four people before being cut off is frustrating. There is no room for exploration or choice in selecting potential dating partners. As a former website developer, I believe your format requires significant updates. Please refrain from charging me for another month as I will escalate this issue to the Better Business Bureau. I am documenting our conversation and interaction. Regards, Susan D.

Dear Sirs,
My name is Ida Millar, and my telephone number is [redacted]3. I no longer have a Facebook account, so I was unable to log in. Earlier this year, I created an account with Bumble and started a relationship in May. I deleted the Bumble app, assuming it would also delete my subscription and account. However, I recently discovered that my account is still active, causing distress. I have not accessed my account since deleting the app, so I kindly request you to delete any remaining account or subscription promptly. I will cancel any direct debits I find still active. Please consider this email as my official notice to cancel any lingering account or subscription.
Many thanks,
Ida Millar

I am unsure if you can assist me. My previous phone stopped working, and when I logged into Bumble on my new device, it redirected me to log in via Facebook, creating a new account instead of accessing my old one. At the time, I had a paid account under the username "Rich." I am willing to provide my credit card information if it is necessary. I am eager to return to the old account as it contains important saved messages I need to retrieve. Please contact me at [redacted] My phone number is [redacted] if you need to reach out to me. I am hoping for a solution to regain access to my old Bumble account. Thank you.

I recently heard from a friend that my profile is visible on Bumble, a dating site I did not sign up for. I am only subscribed to the business and friends sites. Back in June, during a separation with my husband, I briefly used a dating app for two days. I promptly deleted the account and received confirmation. I am shocked and concerned about why my profile is still active. This situation is distressing and a breach of my privacy. My friend mentioned seeing a photo of my husband and me on the profile. I have two email addresses associated with my new app for making friends and business connections: [redacted] or [redacted] My name is Carolyn A. Thank you.

I have been noticing unauthorized charges on my card from October from the Bumble app totaling nearly $[redacted]. The charges seem random and do not make sense to me. Unfortunately, my phone was stolen in California, and the thief used my information to sign up for this app without my knowledge. I am struggling to reach out to the company to resolve this issue as I have hit dead ends. I want this matter resolved immediately. If not, I will have to take legal action to address this problem.

I've attempted to cancel my subscription multiple times, but the app kept glitching, making it impossible. After reaching out via email, my request seems to have been ignored, with a response directing me to cancel per their terms and conditions. Additionally, I've noticed unauthorized charges of different amounts on my bank statement from this company, leading me to suspect fraudulent activity. As a precaution, I've contacted my bank and have blocked further charges from them.

I'd like to share a recent experience. A gentleman named Justin got in touch with me around January 19th, but our interaction didn't end well. After him not showing up as planned, I confronted him the next day. Our exchange displeased him. The situation took a turn when I received a message yesterday, which I suspect was from the same individual. We discussed meeting up, but he deleted the messages before our scheduled date. Today, I realized it might be the same person seeking revenge due to my previous confrontation. I wish to report this incident to prevent any future contact, requesting to have him blocked from my profile. For additional details, please reach out to me at [redacted]. Thank you, Rhonda.

I had used Bumble for one month, then deactivated my account. Even though I couldn't log back in, I've been charged $24 monthly from March [redacted] to [redacted] through iTunes. I only realized this after checking with my bank. This experience has left me extremely dissatisfied and disappointed, especially as a millennial from NYC. Bumble was my first and only dating app, despite hearing negative reviews. Now I regret not listening. It feels like a scam, and I will be sharing my ordeal with my followers. I demand a refund for the charges during the deactivated period. How can you charge for an inactive account? Bogus.

I have been on Bumble for five days now and have not received any matches yet. I am a good-looking guy with a profile that includes six pictures, a bio, job, and education details. I've swiped right on around [redacted] women. I signed up using my phone number and I am using my computer because I have an old flip phone. I wonder if using my computer is affecting my visibility on the app and preventing matches or notifications. I am a bit shy but believe I could be a great boyfriend or companion for someone interested. I am confused about why I am not getting any matches. I am also unfamiliar with Spotify and Instagram; are these necessary for getting matches on Bumble? Thank you.

I am certain that my Bumble app is malfunctioning. Despite being in an active conversation with someone I matched with, the app shows 0 matches and 0 conversations. I need to rely on push notifications on my phone to communicate. I invested in premium access and want to see my matches instead of losing them within a day. This technical issue is visibly affecting my app usage, so please assist me in resolving it promptly.
