I'm in a bit of a predicament. I reside in Florida, while my brothers reside in RI and MA. One of them has an account at Postal Government Employees Credit Union where we plan to each contribute $25 monthly towards a 50th Anniversary celebration for another brother. I hold an account with Bank Newport and hoped to transfer funds to the PGE account using Bank2Bank transfer. However, a Bank Newport representative informed me today that I can only transfer funds from my account to another if my name is listed on both accounts. Unfortunately, it is not. Is there a way to set up a recurring $25 monthly transfer without my name being on the recipient's account? I wish to avoid the hassle of sending a monthly check. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
