I had a disappointing experience with Air Pros in Cape Coral, FL. Initially, they missed the first appointment without any notice or follow-up. After several frustrated calls, I finally reached a woman who apologized and rescheduled for the following Monday between 1PM to 2PM. Again, they failed to show up on time, and only after an hour and a half, I received a text that the technician was on his way. I stressed the importance of punctuality and communication due to my busy schedule, but unfortunately, they never inform me of any delays. I am not satisfied with their service and do not recommend Air Pros to anyone based on my encounters with them.

I recently left a negative review for a fence company called Fence Rehab on Angie's List. The owner came to both my neighbor's house and mine to give us a fence estimate and took our contact information but never followed up. When we tried to reach out, he was unresponsive, and I decided not to pursue a quote from him. I rated his company poorly due to lack of professionalism and responsiveness. In response, the owner reacted aggressively, insulting me and even making veiled threats. He mentioned personal issues like his wife's illness and business closure, but did so only after his aggressive comments. I believe service providers should be held accountable for their actions, and Angie's List should consider reviewing these types of responses more carefully. I am still upset by the uncensored negative remarks directed at me. I spoke with Angie's List to remove my review and hope they will improve their monitoring of providers' comments in the future. The provider's behavior was unacceptable, and I hope for better moderation on the platform to prevent similar incidents.

I received a referral for RAJ Handyman Services from Angie's List, provided by Jajendra Narine at [redacted]. I submitted my review of their service, but I received an email stating that my review didn't match the company I reviewed poorly. The only company to respond to me was RAJ Handyman Services, not Rick Lope Handyman Connections in Alpharetta at #[redacted], which never responded to my service request. I didn't contact them or request an estimate, I simply sent a sketch of the work we needed, to which RAJ Handyman Services responded positively but never followed up further. If needed, you can reach me at [redacted] or [redacted] - Ed O'Halloran

On July 24th, I tested positive for COVID-19. I have reached out to Angie's List via email multiple times to explain my situation and request to be released from my contract due to my inability to manage the workload while sick. However, I have noticed a deduction of $[redacted] from my account which I urgently need for bills. Despite not engaging in any leads or work on Angie's List, I am not getting a timely response from my advisor. They are insisting that I provide a doctor's note, which is not necessary for COVID-19. I have offered to share my positive test results, but my advisor is not cooperating. I am seeking a reimbursement of the $[redacted] and hope to resolve this issue promptly.

I recently experienced a break-in at my home, where valuable check registers were stolen. Wanting to enhance security, I decided to install a lock on my walk-in closet. I utilized Angie's List and scheduled the service for 2-3 weeks in advance, indicating it was not an emergency. Surprisingly, a locksmith called me at 11:00pm, estimating the cost at around $[redacted]-$[redacted], which I found off-putting. The next morning, another locksmith contacted me and requested photos of the handle, which I struggled to provide immediately. Despite informing them of the scheduled service date, I felt harassed by the continuous follow-up calls. It seems that the providers do not consider the specified service timeline when reaching out to customers.

In August 13, [redacted], Warrenco Construction & Paving Company at [redacted] E Main St. Suite [redacted] Plainfield, Indiana quoted me $11,[redacted] for concrete work. I paid a $[redacted] deposit on August 14 to secure a spot for my project on September 28. However, on September 21, when I inquired about the progress, I received no response. Despite being scheduled for the 28th, no one showed up to start the work. After requesting a refund via email due to the lack of communication, I have yet to receive any response or my deposit back.

Jay Knight, the owner of Professional Mechanical Services, visited my house to diagnose the low refrigerant issue in my refrigerator. He charged the system without properly vacuuming it down, but the problem was not resolved. I paid him $[redacted]. Later, he returned the $70 check I gave him for his services. Upon my request, he checked for leaks, repaired one, and installed a dryer, which took five hours despite the task being a quick brazing joint and dryer installation. This left soot all over my house, requiring a whole day to clean up. Despite his efforts, the refrigerator issue remained unresolved. In total, I paid him $[redacted] for his services. I attempted to reach out about a refund or resolution, but Jay Knight never responded to my inquiries. Considering legal action due to the unresolved problem and lack of response. - Lenward Daniely

I had my refrigerator serviced by Professional Mechanical Services, owned by Jay Knight, in September [redacted]. The initial diagnosis was low refrigerant, and the system was charged without vacuuming, but the issue was not resolved, costing $[redacted]. After discussions, a service call payment of $70 was returned, and a new diagnosis was made on October 1, [redacted], recommending vacuuming, leak repair, dryer replacement, and system recharge, with a $[redacted] deposit paid. Upon returning on October 2, the service took five hours for a 15-minute brazing joint connection, causing soot to spread in my house, requiring a cleanup that lasted all day. Despite requesting a refund three times, Jay Knight did not follow up on returning half of the payment as promised.

I noticed that my driveway and sidewalk were spalling, so I reached out to the Concrete Doctor through an ad on Angie's List. They mentioned they couldn't stop the spalling but could apply a hardening material. After completing part of the work, they left, leaving the job unfinished. When I questioned them, they referred to the square footage in the estimate to justify their work. However, the job wasn't completed as we had discussed during the estimate with Ron. Now, I realize that [redacted] sq. ft. was agreed upon, but I am unsure of the actual area. I recommend future customers to request a detailed bid outlining all expectations and verify the square footage included in the contract to avoid similar issues. Unfortunately, I doubt I will receive any further assistance from them.

I hired a contractor named Stephanie Jones through Angie's List to work on my rental property. We agreed that he would receive half - $[redacted].00 - upfront. After he started, he requested an additional $[redacted], contrary to our agreement. I insisted that the remainder should be paid upon completion. Despite claiming he used some of his own money, he didn't finish the job and took the money I had already given him. He only bought paint and tried to sub-contract the rest. I feel like I've wasted a whole month on this. I need reimbursement to hire someone else since I am currently unemployed. The floors he attempted to install are now wrong and need fixing. Unfortunately, I can't remove them myself. Thank you for your time.

The contractor we found on Angie’s List has deceived us, taking nearly $20,[redacted] without completing most of the work, leaving a room's roof removed with just a tarp. None of the materials we paid for have been delivered, and communication attempts have been ignored. A worker confessed to being high on cocaine, prompting a call to the police when a drug pipe was discovered in the house.

We engaged David's Plumbing for a toilet replacement and other services. Despite his good work, he refused to provide receipts for the items purchased. When we inquired, he explained that he considers the supplies his business property and does not share purchase information. While he offered to address any product issues, he emphasized his longstanding business practice of not disclosing receipts. David compared his approach to that of other service providers in different industries. Although he expressed readiness to change the toilet seat and handle other concerns at no cost, he maintained his stance on sharing receipts. We are puzzled by his reluctance to provide the receipts and seek clarification. Thank you, Beverley and Mitch Crevar.

We are disappointed with the recent switch in your business model from consumer-focused to contractor-focused. My husband sought drain cleaning information here, only to be bombarded with phone calls early on a Saturday morning, disrupting our peace. Further, we received multiple emails, when all we wanted was information. We preferred the ease of viewing all reviews, not just the selected ones from Angie's List. If this trend persists, we will have to discontinue using your service.

I'm writing to report a concerning situation with a business linked to this site. Despite my only searching for a different service on here, they have been calling me without permission. This particular business, Handy Cleaning, has contacted me multiple times in the last day, even though I never sought out quotes for their service or expressed any interest in it. Strangely, they seem to have spotted my activity on angie's list regarding a separate matter. On top of this, the businesses I did reach out to for quotes haven't responded. The individual making these unsolicited calls is Jen from Handy Cleaning, reachable at [redacted], who directs me to call [redacted]. It is frustrating that, despite my original intention to find a solution for a broken window, I am now being bothered about a cleaning service I never requested. Overall, this experience has not left a positive impression.

My name is Sandra S. I had scheduled a housekeeper through Angie's List for this morning, but due to my husband's hospitalization, I wasn't home when they arrived. I don't have a direct contact number for them apart from Angie's List. I prepaid for the service using my credit card and still want the cleaning done. My husband had a medical emergency, and I had to rush him to the hospital; that's why I couldn't be there. Kindly help me rearrange the cleaning service. The money has already been deducted from my bank account. Please call me at [redacted]. I'm available at home now. Thank you for understanding the situation.

I hired Ellie's Concrete to construct a parking lot at [redacted] Pennsylvania Avenue in Fort Worth, TX in September [redacted], and I paid almost half of the fee upfront. Despite only completing a small portion of the job, Ellie requested additional payment to rent equipment. After months of no communication, Ellie's wife mentioned he was ill and would provide updates, but all attempts to follow up have been unsuccessful. I have not received updates, and Ellie remains unreachable. If Ellie's Concrete is still affiliated with your company, he must complete the project or refund the unfinished work. I am owed $[redacted] if he abandons the job. I would appreciate information on Ellie's status as your contractor and guidance on how to recover my funds. Thank you. Adejoke Fatunde

I recently had a painter visit my home who lacked the necessary tools expected from a professional. He arrived without suitable equipment, only carrying a paint tray and roller. He did not provide drop cloths or brushes, using a flimsy plastic sheet instead. Despite being given 2.5 hours to paint both my kitchen and a half bath, including the ceilings, the job was left incomplete. The level of service was far from professional and fell short of expectations. I am requesting a full refund due to this unacceptable experience. Customer service should take note of my dissatisfaction with the service provided.

Hello, yesterday, we had a contractor from Angie's List complete some sheetrock work for $[redacted], which my husband paid. After the contractor left, Angie's List unexpectedly deducted $[redacted] from my account, essentially charging us twice for the job. The contractor returned for forgotten tools, and upon learning about the duplicate charge, suggested contacting Angie's List for resolution. He had difficulty communicating in English.

I am writing about the Booking ID [redacted]1. The technician did a fantastic job. I had an issue with my Sears MasterCard questioning the payment through a text message. Due to having a non-smartphone, I couldn't provide the necessary response, resulting in the payment being declined. Despite my attempts to contact Sears MasterCard promptly, the process was delayed. After dealing with unhelpful customer service initially, I was able to establish a case for repayment with the proper Sears MasterCard Consumer Service department on Saturday. Angi was closed for the weekend, so I was instructed to contact a specific number on Monday with the established case for resolution. I appreciate your patience as I work to ensure Angi receives payment for the service rendered under Booking ID [redacted]1.

I am filing a formal complaint against Gregory's HVAC and Refrigeration and Antinio Gregory. I do not recommend this company for refrigerator repair. I contacted Home Advisors for help, and Mr. Gregory responded, claiming to be associated with them. He quoted me a price for repairs, insisting on payment by check. After installing three parts, my refrigerator did not work, and he failed to follow up. He mentioned replacing the compressor but never did. He promised to return for a free repair but never showed up. This left me without a working refrigerator from March 25th to April 3rd, costing me money on ice and eating out due to spoiled food. I have reported this to Home Advisors who have taken action. I am seeking a full refund and compensation for additional expenses incurred. I would caution others against using this service.
