During a routine check of my pre-owned laptop's services, I found that a service called "CTES" was running automatically. Upon further investigation, I realized it is linked to Computrace, which was activated on my device without my knowledge. Despite trying to deactivate it in the BIOS, I found the Computrace setting to be permanent. I've discovered that Absolute Software can help remove Computrace, so I'm interested in getting it disabled from my Dell M3800 Precision laptop.
