Users can try disabling third-party applications or waiting another hour before attempting to sign back in. If these steps do not work, users can check their email for a Reset Password link or verify their account via email, phone, or Recaptcha. If all else fails, users can contact Customer Support.

Calling this X Customer Number

Sep 18, 2023

It is no secret that Twitter, now known as simply X, has been under a lot of upheaval over the course of the last year, which is why I expected to have some trouble calling to get help with my account. From technical support to help with advertising or questions about how to get the new, highly coveted blue check, there are a lot of potential questions people could pose about managing their accounts. Plus, there are over 300 million users so that means literally hundreds of people could have hundreds of questions at any time.

Despite all of that, I was more hopeful about getting help from Twitter than I suppose I should have been. I prefer getting help from a customer agent, and despite obtaining a phone number that I could call for support, I was unable to get help, which was greatly frustrating to me. The number that I had for Twitter (this number) does not work at all. It doesn’t even get you to Twitter despite being posted as a common Twitter number. Instead, you just get a recorded message that says the party you called is unable to accept your call. I attempted to call twice and received the same message.

Once I got over my disappointment with that, I went online to look for other potential phone numbers that I could use to call Twitter (X). The only number I could find was supposedly for Twitter’s headquarters, and it was this same number. I already knew that this number didn’t work from my multiple phone calls and went looking for help on Twitter’s support website. After spending about 30 minutes weaving around the support section, which often circles you back to the start, I concluded that there was no way to actually talk to a person at Twitter.

I then nosed around the support section, hoping to at least find a way to talk to someone on live Chat, but I was not successful in this either. Every single support query just led to a new article or eventually to the option to file a ticket. If I wanted to file a ticket about the issue, I also needed the URL of the tweet in question, which meant that I had to read another article about how to get a tweet URL. In the end, it was one big mess, and I ended up giving up because ignoring the issue I saw on Twitter was a lot easier than attempting to report it to anyone.

Conclusion and closing notes

This is X's best phone number, the real-time current wait on hold and tools for skipping right through those phone lines to get right to a X agent. This phone number is X's best phone number because 108,060 customers like you used this contact information over the last 18 months and gave us feedback. The X call center that you call into is answered by their IVR or robotic phone menu system which of course is open 24/7. In total, X has 1 phone number. It's not always clear what is the best way to talk to X representatives, so we started compiling this information built from suggestions from the customer community. Please keep sharing your experiences so we can continue to improve this free resource.

GetHuman does not provide call center services or customer support operations for X. The two organizations are not related. GetHuman builds free tools and shares information to help customers of companies like X. For large companies that includes tools such as our GetHuman Phone, which allows you to call a company but skip the part where you wait on the line to get a live human rep. We continue to work on these tools to help customers like you (and ourselves!) navigate the messy phone menus, hold times, and confusion with customer service. As long as you keep sharing it with your friends and loved ones, we'll keep doing it.
