What are the hours and when should I call?

Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines operates the call center for this 800-256-6649 phone number Mon-Thur 24 hours, 7 days, Fri 12am-9pm, Sat 9am-6pm, Sun 9aam-12am ET. The short answer is that you should call on a Monday. This observation and the following section are based on analysis of a sample set of 1,058 calls made in the last 90 days using our free, web-based phone (see above).

Automatically call when they open

When you use our free AI-powered phone to call and talk, wait on hold, or navigate for you, it will automatically wait until the Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines call center opens before trying to call. It will ask your permission before it places the call, so you can also further delay that scheduled call until you are ready. But that means you can "set it and forget it" ahead of time.
An important note: busy times vs hold times vs best time to call
When we refer to busy or less busy times, we are talking about the volume of calls. The busiest times are when the most people are calling this Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines phone number (least busy times have fewer people calling). This high call volume does not necessarily mean that you will have a long hold time when you call. Companies like Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines staff their call centers differently based on the time of day and day of the week, so you may experience a shorter wait on hold at the busiest of times. When we refer to the best time to call, we are referring to the optimal combination of lower call volume and shorter wait times.

The least busy time to call

The least busy day to call Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines is Monday. The most busy day to call is Tuesday. Again, this is based on a sample of 1,058 calls made with our AI-powered, web-based phone in the last 90 days.

The shortest wait on hold

We measured the shortest hold times to be on Thursday. The longest wait in the queue on average occurs on Tuesday.
But if you use our free call and talk for me or wait on hold for me service, you don't really need to worry about average wait times.

The best time to call Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines

In summation, the best day to call Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines is Monday. This is not the day with the shortest wait on hold in the phone system, but we still recommend it for its ideal combination of low call volume and short hold times. Plus we believe that Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines staffs the call center well on Monday.

Calling this Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines Customer Number

Apr 15, 2024

I recently took a Royal Caribbean International cruise, and while it was great fun, I think that I may have left my tablet in my room. I don't want to wait too long to deal with the issue, because I don't want it to get misplaced. Calling them seemed like the quickest way to get an answer, so I went ahead and called this line. I know that Royal Caribbean probably gets a lot of phone calls about booking cruises, changing reservations, etc, but I was willing to wait on hold if I had to.

When I called, I was greeted by a virtual assistant who stated, "Thank you for calling Royal Caribbean International. Due to high demand, we are experiencing high call volume. Please bear with us. Many questions can be answered on our website. If you know your party's five-digit extension, press 1. Traveling today and need assistance, press 2. To review your cruise credits, press 3. For questions about your upcoming cruise, press 4. Already sailed and calling about your past cruise, Press 5."

I chose 5 since I had already sailed, and then I was given two more options, "If you would like a copy of your sea pass or onboard statement, press 1. To speak with someone, please stay on the line." I didn't need my statement, so I stayed on the line and then I was given two more choices, "If you are calling about what appears to be a duplicate charge, press 1. Otherwise, stay on the line to talk to an agent."

Before I was placed on hold, a message stated that I could go online to report a lost item. However, I already did that and was calling to escalate my claim, so I stayed on the line. Hold music started to play and another recorded voice told me it would be 20 minutes to talk to someone. It did take about 20 minutes, but the customer service representative was very pleasant and outlined what I could expect following my claim.
